European Air Charter Proplems again

Heard a rumour that EAAC have gone down again without paying their staff (again). Does anyone know anymore about this?

In answer to your question, 'No'. Other than to add I believe they're operating EGHH-GCTS today - don't know if it's one of their own a/c.
Since this is at least the 3rd time you've posted to announce the demise of EAAC, any reason why we should think you're going to be more accurate this time than previously?
I have some sympathy as to why you harbour such a high level of animosity to your former employer, but I was curious... do you mark in your diary weeks ahead the dates when it's time to post a thread like this?

Jetstream,

thanks for your kind comments and your interest in me, it is nice to know that you care about my wellbeing.

I had a text from a friend of mine this morning saying that she had heard that they had just laid everyone off, I said I didn't know anything about it and to be honest I wasn't really bothered. I was then asked by someone else so I thought I'd put a question here for people.

As for me, well I have moved on, I hardly know anyone that works at EAAC anymore as it has gone through alot of changes since I departed. I posted the question for some intelligent responses and to see if the rumour is true. seeing as I heard the same thing from two different people today it got me wondering.

If there is no truth in it then so be it, I am not trying to cause a stir, after all this is a RUMOUR forum and I just wanted to know if anyone else had heard the same.

I beleive the 747's don't fly any more and they have downsized quite alot. If anyone can tell us what is happening with European then it would be good.

The truth LJ is, even if you want us to think you aren't 'bothered', and that you've have 'moved on', is that you are still 'bothered' and you haven't 'moved on'.
I'd say it's time for you to deal with it.... bitterness is not an attractive human trait and letting it eat away as you're allowing it to do, just means you'll end up even more twisted than you are already. Pleased take this as some friendly advice - after all you know I care about your wellbeing...
Also understand there is a difference between a rumour and some ill concealed st stirring such as you're trying to engage in.
Do you really think you're fooling anyone?

jetstream7,

I'd love to say that your advice is friendly, but I don't consider you to be a friend - therefore the advice or opinions you give are not worth anything to me.
As to if I'm fooling anyone, well I asked a question based on something I heard, it was not designed to mislead anyone or "st stir" as you so delicately put it. If you feel that I have done this then I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that I may have cause you and do not hope that you are too distressed about it. Not that I give a damn about what you think anyway.

twolillies,

I take it you work for EAAC? if so I'm glad you got paid and I'm glad that the airline is still going.

If anyone can shed some light on the goings on at EAAC at the moment it would be appreciated, whether they are operating or not.

Grrr

So was the Bailiff in command of the EAAC 737 that departed from Luton today?

No, so rumours of the demise of EAAC must be proved, come on folk.....prove it!

Whatever you think about what I've posted, there is one simple fact to be considered - that London Jets repeatedly chooses to open threads, or post incorrectly announcing the demise of EAAC.
For those of you leaping to L J's defence, or offering me some 'advice', then consider how you'd feel if it was your employer that was being referred to...
L J... you're not helping your former colleagues, or anyone else who works for EAAC. I am sympathetic to the situation you found yourself in, but like I said time to move on - I know you say you have, but now it's time to do it for real.
I'd guess that some of those who work for EAAC are as fed up with your posts as you were back a few months ago when you composed an excellent post around AEU when there was an outbreak of Astraeus bashing.
A question for EAF122... I've got a life already thanks, but why the "LEAVE US ALONE" comment - I haven't addressed anything towards you, so I can't see how I can leave you alone... care to explain what you mean?

I agree with jetstream here, LJ seems to have nothing better to do than start rumours. I agree it was unfortunate what happened to you, but move on gracefully. European is still fit and well.

I have alot more things to do than start rumours. thank you for you contribution though.

jetstream7

Well noticed, yes I have asked about EAAC before, and yes I used to work for them. Well spotted again for reading my post about Astraeus, Yes I worked for them as well. It is nice that you pay so much attention to me, I feel touched by you devotion to me.

The simple fact is, Yes I was one of the ones that got laid off by EAAC in 2004. Yes they owed me money. No I didn't get what I was owed. Yes I was annoyed about that. Yes I spent alot of time making a point that what happened to us was unfair. No I am not bitter anymore. Yes I have got over it (though my bank manager hasn't!!). Yes I worked for Astraeus after EAAC. No I do not work as crew anymore. Yes it was my choice to leave flying. Yes I still have an interest in the industry. No I do not work in the industry anymore. Yes I still have alot of friends in the industry.

For those of you that think you know me, you probably don't me, you may think you know me and as such think you can make personal attacks towards me. For you lot I don't care about what you think.

No I am not in the habit of starting rumours, I heard one and chose to ask the people of pprune if they had heard anything similar. I was not expecting personal attacks directed at me, but that is what I got so I will defend myself.

If EAAC are still up and running and flying and paying people then so be it, I apologise to those peolpe who are offended by the rumour that I heard. I have always said that at EAAC I probably had some of my most fun flying days and I will have fond memories of the company up until the demise.

For those that are still employed by the airline I wish them the best of luck, enjoy your time there. I gather by the response from jetstream7 that EAAC must still be around and flying, so the rumour is wrong. I have since told the people who asked me that the rumour is not true.
