No particular axe to grind, just use facts instead of optimistic speculation or downright lies to spin a good story, as has been done on here quite often by some.
The new FBO sounds good though, shame there will be nobody in it

jenny b what is it with you and cvt all ways bad news with you
new fbo open in two weeks
Could it be that the reason Jenny only posts bad news is because there is no good news?
I'd defy 0523 covman to look at the stats and put a positive spin on them

fire cover and fees
CVT has published its charges for 09/10.
Not entirely sure how increasing fees by 10% (average) will help attract trade in a recession but there you go Although to be fair I haven't compared the increase to other airports......
On the fire cover question. CVT's own website lists them as CAT 3 with the ability to go up to CAT 6 with prior arrangement.

Reading his previous posts on this thread I suspect 0523 covman of possibly being two Green Shield stamps short of a toaster, which could point him towards senior management at Coventry Airport

Covman,
Easyjet have 1 year round route and 1 seasonal route out of BHX
so far you've predicted that Easyjet, Ryanair AND BMI baby were going to set up shop at CVT
and you wonder why no-one takes you seriously

Coventry have no expectation of any airline coming in the foreseeable future. Even without the current financial conditions, the failure to get planning permission for the Terminal and the length of runway were always going to be major issues.
As a consequence, the new Airport Director is setting the place up for a different kind of existence with bizjets, freight, maintenance and GA. It may or may not be successful but to me it seems a more realistic ambition.
A few minor changes from 1st April with Cat3 Fire Cover 7/7 (instead of 4 during week and 2 at weekend). Cat 6 by arrangement. Weekend opening and closing hours will be one hour later (0900 to 1900 local).
