Still nothing official on their suggested Liege routes.

Will Angers be served from Luton eventually?

Believe there are nine new routes to be announced. I think we've had five so far.

Rumour at MAN is that the MAN-IOM and LPL-IOM routes are to be cut in a deal with Euromanx in return for them cutting IOM-DUB routes.

This is a very good deal for Euromanx if its true, I have my doubts though.

It certainly would be a good deal for EM if this was the case, though of all the routes off the rock IOM-LPL should be able to support two operators. Doubt if it would be very good for the travelling public though, last year when EM had the monopoly to LPL they really ratcheted up the fares.

Just a thought, but would not such a deal breech EU competition rules?

I think cleared for take off is half right, there is no point in continuing with three operators on IOM-MAN so I wouldn't be suprised to see AA come off that. I think LPL is still up for grabs.

with Air Wales definitely starting CWL - BHD next month
The website has NO mention of this. Does it mean that AWW will be continuing with their BmiBaby arrangements from BFS?

With a fleet now down (again) to three aircraft, Air Wales may well end up looking increasingly like a takeover target for Aer Arann

A possible way out of the current situation would be for AW to contract short-term capacity from, say, Air Atlantique, while their two "tech" planes are undergoing engine surgery; otherwise it's difficult to see how they can survive without the "critical mass" offerred by a 5-aircraft fleet.

Life is tough for independent regionals!

Aer Arann to move base?

Could be rubbish but heard that the IOM base will close, and be moved to MAN. New routes planned with the arrival of the new aircraft.

MAN would certainly be a bit less remote than the IOM...

Well you could be right as looking at the website and book a flight from angers to Man during the week in june , the aicraft land into Man at 20.20 and stay there as there is no departure from Man after that time.
So Man could be the next base and IOM guys could leave little rock for big rock

Flights from Liege are now showing up, but judging by the schedules, it's not a base.

Also Luton-Angers is in there.

I've seen Cardiff Lorient too, twice weekly.

No one else does north west france from CWl so might be a good route. I say good luck to Aer Arran, the more competition at Cardiff the better.

EDITED

I just looked at the AWW website and see that they have dropped Paris Beavais and replaced it with Cardiff - Rennes? In response to this route from Aer Arran or is that what provoked aer arran into the route?
