What are Loganair doing to their IOM GLA service? The pax numbers are shoking. After all the big noise they made when they started BHD and BLK up against Manx2 they ve done nothing but cutback. Come on guys step up the IOM service from GLA again We're dying out here on Fraggle Rock.

Loganair going back to Carrickfinn

As already noted on the flybe thread, Loganair are picking up GLA-NQY, but this also caught my eye : "Loganair, Scotland’s Airline, has today announced that it is to introduce new services linking the Irish city of Donegal with Dublin and Glasgow from November 2011."

Press Office :: Loganair introduces Donegal services - Loganair

Blimey, that's a blast from the past, the old LC903/904 CFN used to be one of the few Loganair flights on the (then) international pier at Glasgow back in the day. The more things change the more things stay the same !

I see that Loganair has operated Twin Otters on the GLA-IOM service a few times recently. Saabs u/s, better things for the Saabs to do, or low pax numbers? Are they likely to use the Twin Otters more and more on this and other routes? I thought they were fully committed on the Scottish island routes.

So anyone know why Loganair are to operating 2x daily flights between Leeds and Glasgow on both Monday and Tuesday this week.

As bmi regional already operate the route scheduled 2x daily with Embrear 135's.

LBA timeings.

What aircraft? If Do328 then possibly Embraer tech and Suckling aircraft leased at short notice to fill the gap. If Saab then similar - but a lot slower.

Can't be a sub for the bmi regional as there 2x daily flights are shown as operating a normal schedule these look like extra services/charters.

If it was a sub for a bmi regional aircraft wouldn’t Loganair just run the flights using the scheduled BD flight numbers and the current slots instead of using the LOG flight numbers and totally different flight timings?

A 3rd flight is now showing as been operated by Loganair between LBA and GLA on Tuesday.

Loganair have announced in recent weeks routes from CFN to GLA and DUB and from GLA-NQY. Will Loganair need to add a aircraft to there fleet to operate these routes?

Pure speculation, but I recall reading recently that Mesaba Aviation is divesting itself of about 25 Saabs which are no longer needed flying for DL.
