The reason is simple: a couple of charters already do BHX-TFS whilst no one does it (yet) from EMA

EMA-TFS

Turroncin

Correct but even more important ZB schedule fly 4 x a week in summer and daily in winter with 321 equipment. I doubt if BHX would have been
considered and it would be a disaster having competition on this route.

It would be great to see GB Airways in BHX but definitely not on TFS.

May 2006 pax

I don't think this has been posted yet but mentioned on a couple of sites

May 2006 pax 441631 up 16%.

All seems to be going well at NEMA pax wise!

I believe Menzies will be handling GB, but not 100% certain. I'd be suprised if they went with Servisair after what they did to GB at BHX.

On a lighter note, the new apron is in use, or had a Spanair A321 on it about half 11 this morning! Few airport officials around the aircraft when it was on stand. We'll see what happens about pushbacks from the stand on the end - that nice new blast fence could get a few dents

I wouldn't be so sure. British Airways are handled by Servisair at a couple of stations on the continent, I'm not sure how rosy the relationship is between the two companies, but I wouldn't be so quick to rule out the Circus. Whilst traditionally I think they've been seen as a bit of a joke, I've heard rumours that they're in favour up at the airport at the minute, following a few debacles with Menzies. Not sure exactly what the "debacles" are, but apparently the growing pains from taking on the huge bmi contract are becoming evident. I've been a fan of KISS/Menzies up at the airport, so certainly hope it isn't the case.
