Read?

Someone obviously didn't read the earlier posts? As for the RJ's, what odds on them not coming to the IOM and being based in GWY?

Wouldn't suprise me. Looks like the Island based company has been acquired to operate business off the Island, as I said earlier this is an interesting tax situation, the GWY operation will no doubt be viewed as Irish by the revenue here.

Crews based in GWY will also have to have Irish contracts and pay 40% tax at the higher end, air crew taxation is a real mine field, but I'm sure EM will have taken advice.

Well, yet another operator appears on the Rock.

Coming in to work this morning I see a Farnair Europe ATR sitting on stand. Could this be a Denim replacement, as rumour has it the contract with Denim finishes this weekend and they are contracted elswhere?

It may be confusing, worrying or downright weird for the travelling public, but for the "spotters" among us, the variety is marvelous!!

Ticket sales have now well started for GWY flights.

Hopefully things go better for Warren Seymour this time than his last foray in Ireland. He lost 2.0million in 1999 when he made an abortive attempt to takeover CityJet to use their AOC on the failed National Jet Italia project. Pat Byrne ex CEO and founder of CityJet has wiritten an excellent book with lots of detail on this.

Ticket provider for.......?

In a previous posting it was stated that Denim are finishing shortly.

So how can Euroman still show on their website that they are a ticket provider (and publish the terms & conditions of Denim Air) when it is most likely that passengers who book now will be flying with somebody else?

Is this not fraud or at least a serious misrepresentation, with hideous legal consequences if, god forbid, there was an incidernt? Does the Isle of Man Government have any form of consumer protection for the public against these cowboy's? Do they care????

Usually just read the forums, but thought you might like to know the Farnair ATR which was supposed to do this mornings SOU went tech (and still is by the looks of it! Blocking the airports oh so valuable stand space).
So the Jetstream 31 went again, two hours late. The return flight was quite eventful as well as they had undercarriage problems on approach which prompted a full emergency turn out. Lucky after a low pass for an inspection there was no problems landing.

Wonder if their little emergency will make the islands papers or will it just be missed like the last one!

Probably the most money blown on leases in a day, not to mention the credibility of having a Jetstream (again) operating a flight booked by passengers promised a jet and letting them enjoy the blue light welcoming committee on arrival. I expect their traffic must be good though, being the holiday weekend etc.?

Who knows what will turn up when the Manchester service starts next week!

Their (oh so poor..) website has very interesting fares on Mancester - if you want to do a day return next Wednesday for example, they look for £249. But if you book IOM-MAN departing at 0805 with a throwaway return in July, this will cost £69.00. Then book a Manchester - IOM (last flight) with a return in July and - hey presto - it also costs £69, giving you a total cost of 2 x £69 plus an extra round trip in the summer if you want it. Even if you want the flexibility of changing the return from Manchester, buying a third ticket this way still works out cheaper than the £249. Back to backing is still alive and well!

My math may not be what it used to be, but I reckon it would take a lot of passengers to cover the cost of even a Chieftain or Jetstream at these levels....

I think it is about time somebody put out a press statement explaining exactly what is going on. Not just at Euromanx, but at Emerald as well.

Both operations seem to be in a parlous state. Everywhere you turn the demise of the shed fleet at JEM is mentioned, and I can't remember the last time I saw an Euromanx a/c in company livery.

If these operations simultaneously go down the tubes, then it is just more bad publicity for fraggle rock. Personally, I won't fly with either operation. Something just doesn't feel right.

Happy Easter(Wot no RJ)

Hi all......Here we are again....friday.So it must be 3W/RJ day.
Any sighting????
I know that we old timers sometimes have problems with hard sums, but.
3W have advertised RJ's to operate from IOM to LCY,LPL,MAN,SOU
GWY to LCY,CDG & Malaga.Sounds like a lot of work for 2 RJ's.
Or is there yet another startling announcement due!!!
Have fun with your chocolate eggs.

I see no red & white RJ - an interesting addition to the fleet today though; The BMI ATR42 operated by Atlantic!

Maybe with the snazzy Palm tree paint scheme it will be the kite of choice for GWY to Espana !!
