As of yesterday the 737-300 back on the KL957/958 until july/august. They also used a Martinair A320 on the 961/962 today due to unservicabillities in the Fokker fleet!

The Kuwaiti should be departing Tomorrow morning, im sure it was around 9am, though i could be wrong. Also, it should be a Airbus A300( Havn't seen it yet though!)

Centre Fix25 : Regarding the XLA, I dont know where you get the change from mate, but i was under the impression the timetable i was given was the final draft! I shall double check though somepoint on Thursday.

Yes, the Kuwaiti is an A300 not a 777, and it should indeed have gone today.

XLA or SCY??

Just noticed that on Kosmar and XL.com some of the Excel flights for NCL are now showing SCY flight numbers, are Scandic returning with their Finnair 757s again?

Cheers

"This week" the plan seems to be :

Excel Airways using 2 734's from NCL this summer (Islandsflug) and Air Scandic will be operating the whole of the planned 738 program ex Newcastle, using a 752. Basically going back to the arrangement SCY had before Excel opened the base, operating the program for Libra/Kosmar/XLA group companies.

In addition, SCY will operate their Wednesday SFB for Prime, in July and August.

Busy summer for SCY with (planned) : 2 757 and an MD83 in MAN, 2 MD83 in EMA and 1 MD83 in STN... in addition to this late addition to their work.

Good one guys.

Are Excel planning on flying to Milan (Linate and Malpensa) from NCL as they are both down as destinations from NCL on the website, although no more details are given

Heard from a mate of mine that a new entrant cabin crew course has been cancelled at NCL by XLA... looks like only 2x 737-400's with the odd 738 popping in over the summer to cover the 734's maint. anyone got any more on that? I know SCY now have a summer base again at NCL, this could be due to the fact XLA are having problems sourcing extra 737-800.... has heard that SAA who usually let them 1x 738 cant provide it this summer, all rumours up to now but anyone care to comment?
and anyone know exactly how many a/c XLA now have at NCL?

Looks to me like 2 x 737-400(Islandsflug) and 1 x 757(Scandic/Finnair) all flying on behalf of Excel and the holiday companys they are contracted to fly for, saving Excel the cost of opening up a seasonal base. I expect any of the 3 to disappear for a day or two, and/or have some long 'w's keeping them away most of the day.

Excel are opening the base...They have 2 Islandflug 734's leased to us in all excel interior and exterior colours etc.... Excel Crew and Islandflug flight deck.... same in BRS only 1 a/c tho.... we had problems gettin hands on a 737-800 that we usually lease from SAA so we had to get good old Scandic back in (not sure what a/c they using) to do some routes for XLA

I see tomorrow morning's BA1321 to Heathrow has got a 6 hour delay due to "operational reasons". Any idea what this is about? Lack of crew, lack of aircraft? Lack of Newcastle Broon Ale?

No doubt it will be crew rest or something, if the inbound a/c got in on time (the BA1338 last night) then it will prob be crew hours. They should just canx it... who will want to travel 6hrs late? all the ppl with connections will be rebooked on the 1325/1327 no doubt, and the ppl mainly going to london for meetings etc will miss um all... i bet when it goes there is only a hand full of ppl on it

Normally there is a crew change on the 1332/1333 and the flight crew getting off the 1332 would operate the 1321 the next morning. On this occasion the flight crew never made it in on the 1332 as they went tech somewhere on a previous sector so the flight crew operating the 1338 had to operate the flight the next morning but due to minium rest hours, couldn't operate until 1205. The flight eventually left with 6 passengers on board!

6 passengers on an A319? Easy job for the FA's then
I take it most of the pax booked on the flight went on the mid morning flight?
