Ok, RYR are to drop BHX for EMA. This is from my mate who works for them in Dublin.
BE are to make MAN year round and also add direct EDI & LGW.

That's incredible news! Brilliant for Derry and the entire northwest.
This, when announced, will be the most significant development for LDY since FR expanded to routes away from STN.
Shame about BHX switching (as I am a frequent user of this), but it's better it moved to EMA, than being discontinued.

I can answer for CU as I study in B'ham and move back there in a months time. It's a massive detour, you can get from city centre to airport terminal in 10 mins thanks to virgin trains, it takes 1hour 42 mins to get to EMA via a combination of rail and bus. This xmas I think I'll get the train to Warrington were my sister works and fly home with be from MAN! Hope BE grasps the opportunity while it can!

Bham is going and if FR didn't go to EMA, I think BE route planners would be idiots to not take the mantel. Yes there'd probably be 30k pax with BE as opposed to 50k but at least we'd still have the route!
I told you so
Looking at recent form (Carnmanorlad correctly predicting the return of Alicante and the introduction of Tenerife; Jamie2k9 predicting the return of FR to MAN, with an announcement early this week- no offence meant to Jamie at all here), I'm going to hold fire until it's on the FR website.
