Thanks, I know there are differences between the two countries. As with everywhere, risk can be mitigated. We spend enough time in South Africa to understand this. It certainly has been one of the major issues we've had to consider.

VHFRT - Good luck getting a working visa for SA. I'm a South African and my wife is an Aussie nurse and we could not get her a working visa. We ended up moving to Australia out of frustration, and you can ask anybody how tedious it is to get an Ausie visa. In the process we met people who have been unsuccessfully trying to get SA work permits for more than 10 years! I don't think any of the airline companies will sponsor you. I know a couple of SA pilots working in other countries.

Good luck and let us know if you get in.

Any DC-9 operators hiring in Kenya? Tanzania?..

Or elsewhere on the continent? Just curious. 900+ hours PIC in DC-9 (15 & 30 series), for cargo operator. Also Fokker & ATR command time. >8000TT. FAA licensed. Yeah, I know...hiring is pretty brisk in US, but I've been expat before (Middle East) & rather enjoyed it. I'm thinking of visiting NBO next month or two...have always wanted to visit the East African Aero Club.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Kenya/Tanzania Pilot Jobs

Does anyone here know if there are opportunities in Kenya or Tanzania for low experience foreign pilots? For reference I have an FAA CPL/IR 1150 TT. Thanks!

Go to Dar es Salaam and hand your Cv in to all the companies in the old terminal. Coastal will look at you with 1150 hrs TT.

Ideas or contacts for jobs on light aircraft in Africa or elsewhere?

Hello everyone,

Almost 5000 h (only on light aircraft), but an age that begins to advance a little, a CPL FAA IFR multi engine and a CPL EASA, and no green card for the USA! In short, to say that despite the recovery that looms, it remains a little complicated for me!
If someone has "good addresses" of small companies in Africa or elsewhere, in corners where FAA licenses are still recognized without licensing constraints or local specificities, to make already the right place, do not hesitate 'to share it! ... (for now it moves (it recruits) in the upper levels, not yet in the "low levels", but it may be coming, we have already witnessed the phenomenon ...)

Go good flights (finally for those lucky enough to fly right now!)

Hello everyone, heard there's a bit of movement in Zambia in this period.

Does anyone have any news to share, and/or suggestions for a low hour beginner (fixed wing, commercial, multi IR, etc..) ?

Very much appreciated. And blue skies
