Rise again

So, is Arik dead, or will the cockroach rise again?
A study tested the hypothesis that cockroaches use just two pieces of information to decide where to go under those conditions: how dark it is and how many other cockroaches there are !!!

So in accordance of this survey conducted by José Halloy and colleagues at the Free University of Brussels, the cockroach most certainly will appear again.........

Fraud at Ilorin aviation college

To All Honorable Senators, Honorable members of House of Representatives, Honorable Minister of Aviation, All well meaning Nigerians.

The Question is Why is the Kwara State government supporting a criminal like Abdulmumini Abdulkarim and even making him the Acting Rector of International Aviation College, Ilorin when they know that he is not qualified.

The Kwara state government is playing politics with human lifes and compromising safety by employing people who are not capable as the Head of training, Chief flying Instructor, Chief ground Instructor and making the bursar and registrar of the college principal officer without any aviation background Just in the name of employing incapable indigenes of the state.

Why is the Kwara state government employing half baked Indians when we have capable Nigerian hands who can do the job better in Nigeria.why did they sack the pioneer flight Instructor’s. Why is one Mr. Katikay Garasia (CPL- 6377) bringing his family members to International Aviation College to take Nigerians Job with the permission of the Capt Abdulmumini Abdulkarim ( his wife junior brother is already working at IAC for over 3 months without work permit and qualification and 2more Indians out of 5 expected have already arrived).

Mr katikay Garasia is known for always going against company policy and NCAA regulations like, flying VFR in IFR weather, flying more than 4 slot in a day as against company policy, flying more than the hours require by law in a month. Compromising safety with his ways and the acting rector of the college praise him for this.

Why is NCAA issuing licenses to foreigners when Nigerians are complaining of lack of Jobs in Nigeria.

Capt Edward Boyo is not good enough to be the chairman of the board of International Aviation College, his workers at Overland airline and Landover company can attest to this and he rarely employ Nigerians. His company is full of South African Pilots.

Why did ICPC stop the investigation on Abdulmumini Abdulkarim as per a petition written to them in the first quarter of 2013.

“Capt” Abdulmumini Abdulkarim (ATPL – 3544) should be asked the people he paid over 22 million naira Kickback collected from the college account for the Nigeria Airforce cadet Pilot training Program. For which NAF paid 14 million per cadet for a CPL program which is normally 10.6 million per student - fraud at its height

“Capt” Abdulmumini Abdulkarim should should give account and be investigated for the purchase of 3 aircraft (5N-BRC,5N-BRD,5N-BRM) he bought for the Kwara state govt. which one of them crashed within 7 months.
Who made Abdulmumini Abdulkarim a Captain? Where did he get the required hours. Who trained him and who checked him out as Captain?

Abdulmumini Abdulkarim is a drug addict and a fraud. The Kwara state government knows about this. Why did they refuse to investigate his past before employing him?

Who make Mr Ibidapo shomade (CPL- 5929 ) a captain with less than 800hrs flight time and why is he using the Captain epaulette and made the acting CFI went he has never done ab-initia training in his life.

Abdulmumini Abdulkarim has fired/ resigned over 10 staff and got into fight with almost all of the staff of the College in just 6 months he was acting.Capt Fola akinkoutu was there for 18 months and every staff was almost crying when he left.

Abdulmumini Abdulkarim worked at Nigeria Airways and was not checked out as a pilot. Where did he get the flight hours he claims to have. He worked with Nigeria College of Aviation Technology before coming to International Aviation College. He was suspended by NCAT for stealing several litters the college diesel before he came to IAC.

Abdulmumini Abdulkarim claim that he has been a flight instructor since 1982,How many student has he trained,we need proof as we already know that Abdulkarim has never train anybody on a live aircraft before.Nigerians want to see your log book.

NCAA, ICPC, NUJ, NLC, TUC, Human rights commission, Nigeria press, and Kwara state govt need to investigate this man

Nigerians cannot wait till we have another aviation disaster before something is done about this man.

PLS CONTINUE TO FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO ALL NIGERIANS UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THE FRAUDULENT MAN.SAY NO TO CORRUPTION.GOD BLESS NIGERIA

Because the more inept and corrupt you are in Nigeria, the further up the greasy pole you seem to rise.

In my experience it's never been any different and I don't see things changing any time soon.

This is an unfair generalisation and remarks like this insult the many decent and hardworking Nigerians who are nothing like the inept and corrupt people you may have come across in your travels across the country.
I beg you to please consider your words more carefully next time, before you commit them to paper.
Agreed, there are serious issues in Nigeria but your words belittle the many Nigerians who are extremely angry at the way things have turned out and are determined to at least try to change the way things are presently.
If you would like to meet some of these people please feel free to pm me and I will be glad to try to convince you that we are not all bad!

Ediks, If you read my SHORT post carefully, you will see I said "in my experience".

It's not an armchair comment, I have been to Nigeria to do business and in my experience the people I have had to deal with were not gentlemen. Dash, dash, dash, dash, dash.

That's life.

I hope you did not misunderstand my post to mean that I was having a go at you?
My intent was merely to point out that there are lots of good people in Nigeria and that I would be glad to introduce you to as many of them as I can in order to change your opinion.
It's unfortunate that your experiences to this point have been in meeting people who were not gentlemen [surely you came across some women too? ]
I offered a counterpoint for those who might someday read your post and come to the conclusion that Nigerians are all scammers and crooks and inept ones at that!
I apologise for the thread drift, now back to whether the hardworking gentlemen at Arik have received timely compensation for their efforts

Strangely enough, I did come across one lady in particular who wouldn't do a thing to move proceedings on unless you filled her outstretched hand. I'd forgotten all about her.

I would be glad to introduce you to as many of them as I can
Anyone of a sensitive nature (and that's surely not me) might consider this statement threatening.

Anyway, as you've said, let's get this back on track for Arik.

I dont work for Arik Air but couldnt hold back my comment to this thread. Its been many years that disgruntled employees have came here to predict an imminent demise of the airline...A question to the same people... why dont you leave the company or quit nagging?
its amazing how the criticis of Arik Air keep playing the old record of late salaries knowing fully well that despite its shortcomings Arik continues to provide flight services in Nigeria and owns 60% of the marketshare. The truth is...where would Nigeria be without Arik Air today?
Right...the employees are keen on cashing their salaries or else...read above and get a life..seriously!

In case any of you folks missed it the President of Arik, Dr Michael Arumemi-Ikhide, was given the so called 'Friday Boss Slot' on the BBC Radio4's Today programme this morning.
He painted a glowing picture not only of Arik Air but also of the Nigerian economy, infrastructure, growth rate etc.
If anyone wishes to listen to his words of wisdom they are available on BBC iPlayer 7th Mar from approx 22m45secs into the progamme for about 5 minutes
