Pentro Drilling

no, no,no, they've elected to hire me as a pilot, but now it seems, they want me to make arrangements on travel, and I believe they are about to ask me for money or other perswonal information. I think they are a scam. stay away. I posted all my emails. they are very vague in their wording. they never stated what type of aircraft you would be flying, so I had to ask, and I got additional emails about I have to start some paperwork with this company called guarentee travel.

I'm not a kid, I'm a 9000+ ATP and have worked all over. The info packet had nothing on it concerning aviation, just a lot of garbage on how could you impress the company and questions like that.

STAY AWAY!!!

Pentro Drilling

I just got off the phone with BizJetJobs.com to which I'm a paying member, and they told me they are fully aware of Pentro Drilling a being a scam and do not post any of their advertisements. So, that, along with all the other posts confirms, Pentro Drilling is a scam.

I saw a posting where someone else got the exact same email(s) as i did. They'll all boilerplate emails to seem legit, but are scamming you out of information and money.

STAY AWAY!!!!

Good investigative work, FlyingMan and MagicTrick. You could always write back to them saying that they dont need to worry about processing your paperwork as its already being arranged through another 3rd party (e.g. your embassy). See what they say...

I think its amusing they offer such a great package ($12,000 a month - without even meeting you!) and then cant afford to pay your travel/processing cost (!) and ask you to pay the $350.00! yeah that adds up.

But seriously the biggest concern is the consistent request for family contacts etc... it could be a little more sinister than it appears.

Another Scam

Here's another SCAM!!! I just got an email from them, claiming to be CLub One Air, located in India. The recruiter is using a gmail address for communication:

[email protected] and his name is Rohit Kr. Anurag

He gave me a website of:Air Charter Services | Private Jets | Aircraft Charters | Corporate Jets to look at, but then I did a search and there is another club one air with a website of: Club One Air,Air Charters,Corporate Air Charters,Air Charters India,Air Charters Asia,Tourism Air Charters,Medical Air Evacuation,Air Charters Mumbai,Air Charters Delhi,Executive Air Charters

I do not know which one is real, but this guy is still, using a gmail email address to comunicate. Not cool.

You'll note that the web address for the 2nd link you posted is a non Club One Air address (arairways.com) whilst the first web address is precisely that (cluboneiar.com) . Might want to do a search here on the PPRune and see what turns up.

Also: Both sites have exactly the same contact details in terms of locations, addresses and even tel nos. Bizarre.

Thoughts?

Scammers

This could be the same type of deal as Abu dabi scam, where they used the company website, but the scammers were using another email address. It's just leary. I've sent Club One Air an email to ask if this guy works for them or not. I believe the company is real, now that I've seen some videos on them, but this guy, I'm not convienced, yet.

Club One Air

I sent him another email, asking about if they will require any fees, etc or if they pay all of the expenses, and indicated that a legit company pays for everything. I also asked the salary, houseing, all the normal questions.

He wrote back to say:

Sorry just forget it... I don't want to give you any explanation.

If he was for real, he would have explained and answered my questions. He did not even know they had two websites. The form he sent me was asking for my SSN! What does he need with my SSN? My passport, yes, my license, yes, my DOB, ok, but my SSN? NO WAY!. I've worked in the Middle east for several years and no one asks for your SSN because they have no need for it!

If these guy put in so much time and resources to scam people, they might actually be able to run a legit operation that pays more than 350USD

Yes, its a scam. If he was serious about hiring he would have given you an answer or even picked up the phone to discuss the opportunity and have an initial interview with you.

The Gmail address is also a blatant give away. Club One Air have email addresses using ClubOneAir.com

If you are able to highlight this to the genuine Club One Air then they may be able to do something about it their end. Who knows - it could be an employee trying it on?
