Sn,
Believe me, i have tried resisting a response to AVSEC's posts.
But hey! I think Avsec just enjoys the fact that he can actually say something; even if it's anything!!!!!
AVSEC have fun my bro, you're entitled to your opinion, even if we disagree or have a difference in opinion. Like they say, Opinions are like as$h*les, everybody has one!
Sn pls Pm me, i need to ask you a few questions, eh?
Cheers.

AVSEC,
when I read your last post I threw my pc keyboard out of the window in order not to respond to you. But I cannot resist. Posts like your last one makes me wonder how you get through your medical checks (if you are a pilot, that is), b'cause you must be close to blind. On both eyes. It does not matter what organisation you work for. Arik Air or another flying company. You have to be a bit objective in your viewpoints. Fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions. But if you are walking the corridors of the Arik offices, and it does not matter how close to blindness you are, you must have seen that not everything is rosy.
The NCAA....Yes, they probably have made an impact since DeMuren took office. But Rome was not build, or re-build in one day. The question is if the top guys in NCAA have the stamina and are bullish enough to bring Nigerian aviation up where they want it.

I dont understand this hostility.
Are you ignorant of the fact that whatever success that Arik Air enjoys is due to the hard work of the team and technical crew mentioned?
NCAA is doing a fantastic job.Things were not as regulated as they are now.Whats wrong in pointing that out?
Blind?how come?
The airline mentioned has been operating for just over a year without a major incident.Am I wrong in stating that?
No I dont work for Arik Air Limited.

AVSEC,
on the 24th you wrote
When you say "companies like ours". Are you talking about Arik Air or another company.
Your comments did not cause anger. Just a reaction, and you did not expect anything else, did you.
I am sorry if you took my comments to your post as an insult. Was not ment like that.
A nice week-end to you too.
BALEWA,
No keyboard for you

This has made companies such as ours take the risk of investing

I believe it is the one year anniversary.
Wonder if there are any celebrations taking place in the Arik Offices this week, unless the management are to busy awaiting the arrival of the new aircraft.
OCC and co will be more upside down then it normally is with more aircraft .

LJT,
Arik Air will be a true contender to VK when, and if they get their salary package together. If not, they will be facing shortage of qualified pilots, and key personnel for a long time to come. But we have been down that road a couple of times and if they do not undestand that new, freshly painted aircraft parked on the tarmac are only interesting to plane-spotters, and not to the creditors.
AVSEC,
Thanks for the nice words. You know on forums like this you have to look and read between the lines.
Lost and found,
Do they have enough crews to operate the four they already have?

Scoteros,
Pilots from outside Nigeria are, as far as I know, offered an expat contract via an agency in the UK. If you`re not getting any inside information around here, you should be able to get it via this agency. Where to find them? Where all pilots look in every now and then: aviationjobsearch and flightinternational. Since they do not appreciate links to other web sites on this esteemed forum, you will have to find out yourself if it is .com, .net or .org
Besides that, not many on a forum would tell you where they work. That would sort of blow part of their alias

I will tell you how it is down there and some people will agree and some wont as all people have a different tolerance level and perception of things. My time there was wasted and if your European avoid this Airline and country at all costs. The money when I was there was ok but since leaving I have seen them using every Agency on the planet to try and source crew as they cant find people who will go down there and the money has got less and less. If you want to go there contact Parc Aviation and ask them about going on contract with Virgin Nigeria based in Lagos instead and whilst your on the phone ask them about their previous dealing with Arik Air haha.
They promise all kinds of things in the contract terms and conditions which you will not get when you get there. If you go there make sure you go with a return ticket as they have a habit of taking people there on a one way ticket and then leaving them high and dry when it comes to either leaving to come home as its so bad or trying to leaving on your supposed 4 weeks period of leave. But only you can decide

there are certain reliable sources actually talking of reputable service organizations not having bills settled on time or at all.
The MD,and his team have otherwise recorded numerous successes operationally and are very professional we hear.
Get paid in advance are warnings comming from reliable sources we cannot ignore.
Apart from that,we understand its a great place to work.

Salary paid on time and the flying is ok.
I do agree that initialy in the beginning there was problems with the expats and remunerations and all that mainly due to poor and incompetent management, but that is all behind us now.
Great team and we have a load of fun
