Yeah, I've already told them this new bus-stop will spoil the character of the lane, attract terrorists, boy racers and midnight raves, but they won't listen.

It was felt in some quarters that the relaxation of planning controls post-Tewkesbury had led to the construction of some buildings which were not quite in keeping with the town's character.

or:

"Well, it's very nice but I don't remember the Cutty Sark looking quite like this".

The senior officer's team-building exercise had started and the first section, "Hunt the Elbow" had begun.

Construction of the senior officers' smoking shelter continued while the PMC dithered as to whether Wilton or Axminster was the best carpet.

DHE Building Programme: Brize Norton

Minister denies that new DHE Building Programme to replace condemned MQs at RAF Brize Norton is "unambitious"! On a positive note he also stated that: "The labour involved with the project has been a great success, following the outcome of our negotiations with the "Tornado F3 Navigator Re-skilling IPT"!

Running out of steam this one. Sorry folks obviously a duff piccie. Judging brought forward to Portsmouth weekend start (midday Thurs). In the meantime a caption from me if you don't mind:
.
Great night out, but next morning The Doctor strongly regretted treating Billy P to the Chicken Tinderloo.
.

(Doctor Who...Billy Piper....Tardis...geddit?).

Didn't think the shallow frivolity of the CapCom would have been appropriate at midday today. Besides the boss insisted on me taking her shopping in Truro, it being the only sunny day in Penzance this summer!
Now that the Geo 570 (Gas burner) is up and running, it's time for me to let you boys move on.
Can't choose between the two Gray's Laners so in equal second:

And while there were some topical crackers, I have to go with the one that made I larf. Step forward

In retrospect, now I know what DIN 2007DIN03-006. Para 15 was all about, I think Mike Jenvey deserves a mention-in-dispatches, however too late for the prize!
.
As per convention Splitbrain or Rocket Chucker, in the absence of Lafyar, first one to post a piccie after 2020 this evening gets the honour.

Dan Gerus - I know you can't sing your own praises, but thanks for a cracking caption that provoked a real belly-laugh. "Stop that Polish chit-chat" had everything - it was topical (polish plumbers), historical (from an amusing sequence in the film Battle of Britain), witty and light-hearted (bearing in mind the affection we still hold for those highly individualistic Polish BofB pilots. The association was a real tickler - I'm still chuckling. Great stuff - keep it coming!
