The First Officer liked to take a Maglite to inspect the flap operating mechanism.

In between the flaps you will find the hot start button.

On a rotor blade we'd call it "Flapping to Equality"

On the Apache she'd of course be on top of the MAN STAB.........(Manual stabililator)

And the winner is

Actually decided on 1700 as I have a bit on time on my hands. Believe I had to chuckle at a number privately which were a bit to close to the bone(r) so to speak.
3rd to Mike Jenvey for "Go do a split ass turn I said."

2nd to 757manipylator for "Does my bum look big in this." and the Winner is

1st: harrogate for producing about 6 really good contributions including many structural related ones but awarded for:

"The aircraft suffered a serious birdstrike to the right wing" -

although I thought it was possible a stabilator but this doesn't matter. Now
Harrogate get to it.

I know I'm judging, but I couldn't resist...

"It wasn't unsual for TV chef Anthony Worral-Thompson to pull a bird that was much bigger than him"

(See the guy in the middle at the front - apologies for those of you who don't know who he is).
