Yes it is, despite the website process requesting a cheque. Give them a phone call and give your card details over the phone.

It also seems not everybody is going through the complete AQC program.

If your skills are OK they will integrate your AQC course with a few extra hours on your TR course.(fi 2 4hr sessions) I know it happened for EasyJet - can save you a few thousand ££££ but depends on demand and how quick they want you to go through the training. For the time being it seems the quicker the better.

I am talking about a non CTC wannabe pilot!

What's the PILAPT test? No more technical/ATPL like questions anymore?

That's interesting, had heard a rumour that they might introduce that system. Does that mean there may be a sim check as part of the ATP selection? Any other way they can judge your skills?

PILAPT test is computer based aptitude tests - hand-eye co-ordination, mental capacity, etc.

I'd also be interested to know if a technical test is still part of the process - i know it used to be but I see no mention of it on the new format.

However, and this is the biggy, from what I heard at least one guy possibly more who got through were subsequently kicked off the course mid rating.
Woops that rumour didn't reach me before today...that's aviation - changes every day!!

Hello everybody,

I have just completed my booking for the phase 2 selection, for the day 12th of may. As I live in Italy, I'm looking for someone who is in the phase of planning how to reach the CTC centre and looking for an accomodation so that we can plan together.

See you there.

Bye, Luca

Dodge 123 says:

"I can confirm that CTC have played with this change recently & a number of the guys who commenced the easy tr in feb were put on a one week jet course (£3500 i think) and then fast tracked onto the type rating.
As part of the ATP selection process CTC introduced a sim check immediately after phase 3 of which about 25% approx. passed. However, and this is the biggy, from what I heard at least one guy possibly more who got through were subsequently kicked off the course mid rating."

Nobody of those who started the Easy TR course in February was kicked off during the course, at least none of those who were "fast tracked" into the B737 conversion course (all the guys into the A319 TR already did the AQC and I believe nobody failed the conversion course).

I asked the question on the other CTC thread but didn't get a firm answer with regard to ATP candidates.

Once your 6 months line training period is complete and assuming the partner airline offers you a permanent contract do you start off on full FO pay?

The Wings Cadets go on a reduced salary because they are also being paid back the 60k they invested. The ATP candidates have never paid out any money other than for the AQC so what money do they start on once their contract with CTC ends?

Does anyone know?

Cheers

SW - at easy you start on full FO pay, 33,060 (as I write this), unable to comment about other airlines.

Cheers

Anyone from yesterday's lot heard yet? Thought we'd know by now - haven't CTC got weekends to be getting on with?!
(Hoping sod's law will dictate that the email arrives as soon as I submit this message)

(Edit, 1 Hour later: Well I still haven't got the email - but my application page on the website has been updated, hadn't an hour ago. Hope it's correct.)

Well done daniel.

Hmmm.. I still haven't heard. Have just phoned CTC and spoke to the 'housekeeper' who says that I won't know now until Tuesday. Considering there's potential for a Phase 3 on Wednesday that's really not ideal!

So, anyone else not heard? Please let me know, by PM or otherwise. And anyone know of any contact numbers for CTC other than 02380 844000? I believe that is for Dibden - is there one for Bournemouth?

There's not much point in contacting Bournemouth, as they don't operate at weekends and public holidays, so there won't be anyone there to take your call!

Hi guys, i will assist to phase 2 on the 19th. I´m looking for places to sleep close to CTC...any suggestion? I looked for Stour villa but is full and about Avon Causeway...it seem that costs 55-55 pounds /night ....I would prefer something cheaper. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey Super
I used Stour Villa and it was great. On the same road there are plenty of B&B's - I can't imagine you will have any problem finding another place near by.
Maybe try one of theese:

Good luck.
