I'm convinced that it's in the tropics, but where? Isn't the car on the right-hand side of the road. Perhaps a Brazilian VW?

Edited for spelling.

It is a VW, and it is on the right-hand side of the road.

The aircraft in the hangar is a Constellation, and the aircraft that looks like a Dakota is an RAF Hastings. This would suggest either Singapore or Honk Kong based upon terrain. Multi-story accomodation blocks are definetly a feature of Honk Kong and therefore this principality gets my vote. Kai Tak rather then Sekong I would suggest.

My thoughts are leaning towards Central America (ish). We already know that the cars are driving on the right so that should rule out Hong Kong and we have a 1950's/60's scene that looks tropical with a VW and something large and American driving past. The fact that the road is so close to the runway threshold suggests to me that a coastline (sea/lake/river) lies next to the road.

Given the above, and purely as a guess, I go for the airfield on the eastern side of the inlet at Guantanamo Bay.

Not Guyana nor Jamaica. Although I would love to be in either of those countries right now!

Thank Bri. Are we a little cold? Here today in Notts was like a spring day warm and sunny, it even encouraged me out to do some gardening.
Back to the thread are we in the right part of the world?

I wish it was Belize. There were no accomodation blocks like that when I was there.

Flap40 is spot on Well done Albrook AFB, now known as Marcos A. Gelabert Airport. Albrook was one of two U.S. air bases in the Canal Zone.
You have control.
