Congratulations dirk85 !

Do you know how many passed for this session ?

Does your message mean that you didn't undergo RAG and TVT tests ?
Do you confirm there is no interview during this first day ?

I wish you the best for the next step...
I am not in contact with other candidates, I really don't know.
No RAG nor TVT, and no interview in this stage.

Bye!

Keep up the good work,

FlyingSerb

FlyingSerb,

I applied some 4 weeks ago, more or less. Why do you ask it?

Cheers.

diarmuid8 17th November 2010 19:40

@FlyingSerb,

He (the 212 driver!) applied when I told him to!

C212-100 17th November 2010 20:32

@FlyingSerb,

Diarmuid8 is correct. He must be one of the few Irish folks that knows what the hell he is doing... :ugh:

Still, it was some 4 weeks ago.

FlyingSerb 18th November 2010 10:32

Haha, best of luck on the DLR.

I asked because I applied a bit over a month ago, stil haven't got a call. Just wondering about the time they take to call someone.

Few of my former instructors didn't pass the DLR and they are good pilots! I hearded it was like a 3 % pass rate.

ATPL questions

Hi everybody,

Do you have any information about the ATPL questions during the DLR ?

Good luck,

dirk85 19th November 2010 20:10

At least 3 passed on the 12th of this month, including me and maarlev.
30 applicants more or less in total.

Eurocargo 19th November 2010 20:38

Hello to everyone.

Any clue on what to expect at the third assessment, a part the final interview?? :hmm:

dirk85 19th November 2010 20:46

I would love to know that, too.

alcongo 19th November 2010 22:02

Dirk85 and Eurocargo

can you tell us about the sim ride?

thanks.

dirk85 22nd November 2010 12:20

Are they similar to the ones in the CBT e.g 9/7*3654 etc ?
Yes. But the ones on the headphones were slightly easier in my opinion.

Any clue?

Hi guys,

Does anyone has any clue about when are they going to stop calling people for the DLR?

And does anyone have any info on how many guys passed the DLR until now?

Best of luck to all.

DLR Tests

Hello,

Can anyone please tell, if they give paper and a pen to perform (or help) in the calculations?
I speak for myself, and seems pretty difficult to anwer "by heart" the exact calculation of for instance, 3753x(7/5) within 10 seconds. Maybe they take into account if we give a very close result.
At the first stage, are they including the best part, beyond this boring "games"...I mean ATPL theory, real aviation knowledge?

Thanks guys,
All the best

Eurocargo 23rd November 2010 09:39

Hi rasfcivil,

You have no pencil and paper, so you have to do it by heart. And they want the exact result. I can tell you that it can be done.
But don't worry too much, you don't have to perform 100% in any test, just try to do your best, if you manage to exceed the average outcome of your mates during that day, you'll pass.

For those asking some info on the sim, you can find all the info here on this thread, thats what I did.
I am sorry but I was asked not to talk about the scenario and the airport used.
The only thing is that you are going to fly alone, the captain on your left will only act as a robot, not making any call outs etc.
1 hour basic flying, 20-30 minutes CRM module.

For those going on for the third assessment, please contact me PM.

rasfcivil 23rd November 2010 14:02

thanks

Hi!

Thanks a lot Eurocargo for the clarification.

It seems we have to simply follow the rules. Let's the "game" begin.

Good luck!

:)

Thanks a lot for the help! Best of luck

Simulator Screening

Hi there,

Can anyone give me some information about the simulator screening (2nd step after DLR) for LHI? I know that it's all raw data ifr with a sid, holding, approach, go around, etc etc....but can anyone give me feedback about the handling of the simulator??? is it hard?? is it full motion? should i go somewhere in europe to do a couple of hours in full motion b737-300 simulator?

And can anyone tell me where is the airport where they usually do the approaches and the sid???

Thank you very much!!!

Cheers!

As far as I know the airport for the SIM scenario will be in Germany, no way to know in advance which one though. For the first part at least.

FlyingSerb 24th November 2010 21:46

Eurocargo,

Thank you for the good and usefull info!
Do you have any tips/tricks when preparing for the DLR?
