I'm going half of January to the FQ, anybody else?

UNOS 22nd December 2010 21:58

I had the simulator assessment last week, unfortunately I didn't pass:bored:. Good luck to everybody, they are really harsh in the evaluation. Does anybody know, if/when can you apply again to the same company? And for example if I have passed the DLR already, would I have to start all over again or is the DLR pass still valid later?

Wurfelklappen & Pass rates

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have two questions about the DLR, and I hope someone can help me out:

1. Like in the DLR of GermanWings, is the test Wurfelklappen (matching a cube with his corresponding example) being tested for Lufthansa Italia? I know it is not in the CBT, but GW for instance does not provide it in the CBT, even though it is tested in their DLR.

2. Is their a big difference between the pass rates of Lufthansa Italia and German Wings?. I know its difficult to tell, but many of my colleagues who attended the DLR for GW passed, and reading the previous posts saying only 2 out of 30 pass for Lufthansa Italia? Can I assume that the standard of Italia is higher to pass, or are they the same and is it due to the fact that Italia has more people attending their DLR.

Thanks in advance!
& good luck for everyone else who will be attending the DLR.

Hi UNOS,
sorry for your failure. I think the "approval to disclosure of personal data" may give you the answer. If you've already passed a dlr, they should use it again.

good luck.

Hi, I made it to the last Stage, and got rejected. One of the most disgusting experiences I ever made. They said I seemed to tense, which was just not true! I actually felt really well during the group interview and scored good results in this stupid DCT test..... They also confirmed that my simulator screening and DCT test was good....
Only 1 guy out of 8 made it to final interview. Not sure if he passed...
To be honest I don't wanna work for those cocky pricks !

dirk85 27th December 2010 15:51

I am sorry Ronand, to get till that point and get rejected without any apparent reason must be tough.

Where were the other guys in your group from?

Can you tell us more about the tests you had in the third phase?

Thank you!

bio161 27th December 2010 16:12

Ronand,

Really sorry you didnīt make it but donīt speak bad about a Company you donīt know just because you didnīt get the job. Be sure they donīt make any preference and they donīt judge people easily like you think about.

The final test is really tough and not easy so donīt consider yourself bad out of this!

Wish you all the best!

I have been following this thread for the last 18 months and I TOTALLY agree with Ronand. "disgusting" is the right word and not only because you don't get the job. Again a big waste of time.
Good luck to all the cube experts

minimumminimum 27th December 2010 17:11

ja correct..The europeīs leading Company is not able to make a pilot selection and has to learn from you guys...PLEASE..................... :hmm:

hetfield 27th December 2010 17:16

I feel sorry for all who didn't make it.

LHI is in a tricky situation, they are very concerned to get the top-notch guys/girls.
I think, the red line is even above LH standard.

Ronand 27th December 2010 21:27

Nobody said that they are not able to make a pilot selection. I just said that the captains who made the selection seemed arrogant. Thats my personal opinion.
And I don't think the final stage is hard, I think it's almost pure luck if you make the final stage or not. Again this my personal opinion and I don't want to argue about it.

final test

First of all, I'm sorry Ronand!
We have a saying that ...when one door closes, others will open to us.
You should be proud of yourself in achieving such level, buddy!

Of course they know how to make a selection, but I agree with Ronad, sometimes (not only in aviation) one person is suficient to ruin our tough work...dealing with people is like that. Doesn't mean EVERY captain or Psychologist are arrogant. There are people all over the spectrum and you hadn't lucky with them on that day.

All the best:ok:

Birdy767 28th December 2010 06:36

So it means than 99% (at least) of the ex-Alitalia guys who attended the DLR, Sim, final interview...and didn t get the job do not have the prestigious skills of the"Europe s leading company"??? :ugh:

Eurocargo 28th December 2010 08:13

No.
It means that they did not meet the narrow profile the Lufthansa management is looking for.

Sorry to hear about the guy didn't pass the final stage. But it's part of the game, try to change point of view: you had a good experience and this will help your next selection process. :ok:

bio161 28th December 2010 08:50

Good reply Eurocargo.

Failing the DLR in the last stage does not mean you are a bad pilot, but it means you donīt match in the profile the Company is looking for which goes beyond the pilotīs skill which have been tested before those 2 days.

The AZ guys are good pilots for sure, but itīs matter as well about culture.

All the best again to all of you guys!! :ok:

Lufthansa Italia already full?

Can somebody please clear something up for me, I have a question regarding the process of Lufthansa Italia!

Is it true that Lufthansa Italia already found enough pilots to work for them for the moment, and that all the pilots who pass the final stage from now on will be placed on a list but will not be hired directly?

I appreciate it!:ok:

alcongo 28th December 2010 12:55

that what every company does, you go into a holding pool and they ll call you when they need you.

hetfield 28th December 2010 23:00

@DutchDutch

No!

RAG and TVT

Hi everybody,

A friend of mine who passed the DLR in october told me that they didn't had Mathematics (RAG) and Physics (TVT) but ATPL questions.

Was it the same for people who sit for the DLR in december ?

Thank you,

Good Luck,

Aquafina1 29th December 2010 16:28

DLR thoughts!

Does anyone think that passing the LH IT DLR is all to do with very high test scores or are they looking at more, i.e. a candidates CV, previous flying experience or flight training record, and/or the phyco/CRM tests results.
I have been looking at some of the subject scores posted on here by people who passed and they seem to vary quiet a bit from people with really high scores to people with average to poor scores. So there seems to be some variation.

Also, am I right in thinking they have called roughly 60 applicants per month?
When did they start this process? Sept 10' until March 11? That's a lot of unhappy candidates! (?)

As an aside, for those of you preparing for the DLR at the moment do you find that the "5-Back" on Level 3 on the VMC leads to a majority of "No" answers than "Yes" ones??

Thanks and good luck.

AQ1.
