Thank you FasterStronger,
How did you do at the DLR? Any words of wisdom for those of us struggling through the CBT currently?! |
Hello FasterStronger,
got some problems at mental arithmetic, i go up and down from 65 to 80 on levl 2 and 3. is there any easy way for roots? and how are the calculations by the headseat, mean what kind and how fast? I also got some problems with clocks on lvl 3 (60%) and visual memory (70%). I appreciate any advice or help. Regarding atpl questinary, are those same questions on italian forum? Thanks in advance karioca. |
Thanks again FasterStronger and good luck in your sim check.
Does anybody have any idea about the number of pilots they are going to hire out of all this and any idea of possible type rating dates? Also, can someone confirm a bond for the TR? Cheers. |
Hi everyone,
I'm new here, so let me first introduce myself. I'm from Holland, graduated in summer 2008 (CPL ME/IR, f-ATPL, 200 TT) and still looking for a job. I did the DLR for LHI october the 15th and I passed. These were my cbt-scores the last day before the actual tests: ENS 97 KRN 92 OWT 85 SKT 95 ROT 100 VLR 100 RMS 32 MEK (vmc) 76 All on the highest levels, and I didn't use Skytest or anything, just the cbt over and over and over again. On the day of the test I talked to a lot of guys who thought that most of the cbt-tests weren't humanly possible to be done in the highest level, especially cube rotation and mental arithmetic. Believe me, if you think the same, you haven't been practising enough yet! Some of the guys also told me they didn't know about the atpl-questions on the Italian forum... Have you been living under a rock??? :ugh: All I want to say is that you don't have to be superman at all, just prepare thoroughly! Goodluck to everyone, just ask if you have any questions. Best regards. |
Anyone know if they are very strict on the vision requirements (+/- 3 dioptres)? Shame to not be able to apply just because of that...:ugh:

why handwriting

but on the details it says to bring along a handwritten CV and Flight experience? Instructions seem clear but never heard of that one before - just to clarify... that's everyone else's understanding and you will be writing out your CVs onto paper? Thanks handwritten document (cv or memo or practically any other structured document) is used for quick (takes 15 secs) and dirty (accuracy depending on experience) assessment of applicant's personality structure being divided into basically

They don't want you to bring a HANDwritten cv, just a printed one. (I didn't handwrite mine, and I passed).
I even asked one of the ladies in Hamburg, and the only thing they want to see HANDwritten is the paper with the 10 additional questions from the biographical data form. So don't waste your time making a handwritten cv, they don't want you to. |
ATPL questions
Dear all,
Can someone please post the link where the ATPL theory questions (Lufthansa Italia GU/DLR) are posted? I have already tried the search thing, but unfortunately I can't find it... Many thanks in advance! Krgds, NDeBile |
I found these on the LH IT Italian forum, page 26. I just copied and pasted the Italian text and but it into google translator and here is the result:

For the atpl-questions, check this link http://www.pprune.org/5027658-post738.html
It's post number 738 in a thread on the Italian forum. These are all the questions, it's complete. Some of it is in Italian, but google seems to speak all languages...:) |
hey, this may have been answered before, but I didn't really have time to read through all 17 pages, sorry :(
from all of you that have done the DLR for LH Italy, is there an option for doing it in English, I know citlyline and LH mainline are in German, and don't get me wrong, I will be taking some intensive german courses very soon, (I am US citizen trying to move over in that direction and work there where I will be better treated as a pilot), but since i hear the DLR is difficult, obviously taking it in German will be that much more, or should I ask is there any DLR offered in English? I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression that i am an american trying to go and get around speaking english, I really do want to learn German (and Itialian eventually if i were to live there), and blend in. I am in the process of converting to JAA ATPL, have 3000TT with almost 2000 in type, multi-crew jet, no PIC, how does it look to be able to get in, if anyone knows??? |
The Lufthansa ITALIA test is done in? Any guess? ... Not in German ;-) You may do it in English (the only required language...).
If you don't bother reading the whole-mighty-super-long 17 pages full of useful information, you might want to look somewhere else to apply... :* |
hey, sorry if it offends you, I did read quite a big portion of this, however, I'm tight on time trying to study my JAA, and my work schedule, amoung many other things. The reason i ask, everything I saw relating with LH DLR is in German, so I figured it doesnt hurt to ask. Either way, thanks for the help!!

Hey PradaP, take it easy, some guys are like this. A simple answer to your simple question. Yes, the test is in english and your question is a normal question, as italian was a requirement until a few month ago, its not anymore.
You would get much more information about LH ITA in the italian forum, but for this you have to understand italian. Again, just a few things that you might be interessted in, right of work in EU, we taked about that, you will not have a chance to change from LH ITA to LH. LH ITA is not LH, they pay less and they pay a lot less than the italian standart, they just take their advantage out of the current situation in italy with some airlines gone bust. If your looking for a job in europe, that would be an option, if you are looking for a real good job in europe, apply to BA. Anyway, to live in the north of italy is so nice and beautifull . As always, try it and see how far you get. |
Sorry, but I just don't see why I (or anyone else) should be forced to write the same stuff over and over again! I either want the job and read the good advice that is given to me or I have other things to do... I am really trying to help here, but I will not have myself abused! And common sense also helps (by now everyone interested should have checked the requirements, noticing that only English and nothing else is required. So why should the test be in German??)
Concerning that street test. You are working with a partner and you have roads that can carry certain weights. Now every car has a weight and you need to place them accordingly. It is of course not as easy as it might sound, as there are disruptions, but all that should be explained in the package given to you by the DLR. Cheers, Felix |
Just got the call for the DLR - 19th January. Anyone else got the same day?

Sim Assessment
I'm going for the sim on 16th Dec.
Anybody else on that day? Keep in touch and good luck ! |
Hi everyone!
I took the DLR assessment on friday 22/10, and I passed it. Could someone confirm to me that I'll take the sim and the interview? If you have more informations to communicate.... Thanks |
Hi Guernott,
To begin with, congratulations for your results ! I hope you the best for the coming simulator phase. Concerning myself, I am invited to attend the DLR test on the 28th Jan 2011. For information, could you let us know what your DLR test was comprised of ? Furthermore, do you confirm that the sim assessment will use a B737 simulator ? Regarding your experience, are you A320 rated ? For info, funnily, we are very close to each other in terms of geographic location since I am living at 40 kms south from Avignon. Bye |
Hey guys,
Does anybody know how long does it take to be called up for the DLR after applying? Thank in advance, Cheers |
