WizzAir

Hi everybody!
Has anybody a contact detail of the one in charge of recruiting in WizzAir? I emailed my cv many times to the address indicated in the web page but nothing yet.
Thanks!

I am just trying to send off the application form to Wizz. Does anyone know who to address the covering letter to?

If you could PM me that would be great. Thank you

Salary

Can anybody from the inside shed some light on the salary for Captains ?

pilotjobsnetwork says only 36000€ + 24000€ flight pay.

This can't be true, can it ?

3MTA3 4th Jun 2007 07:28

Captain's salary : 40000 Euro/year, 60 Euro/sector. In the beginning, the average sector lenght was 1,5 hour, now it's over 2 hours. Some for the same amount of hours you get paid less...

Anyone know if a Local pilot actuallly has a chance of gaining employment with Wizz, and only 400hrs TT?

Why join WizzAir???

Does anyone know how fast WizzAir upgrades FO's to captain??

To me it looks like with the "below average pay" a lot of FO's leave the company as soon as they have some hours on type?? Doesn't that leave WizzAir without a lot of experienced FO's to upgrade??

Having a good chance to upgrade fast to captain would be the only reason I can think of to join WizzAir as FO or what am I missing here?? The family like atmosphere, the company parties?? What makes people join WizzAir as FO when there are better paying jobs out there??

flytheplane 4th Jun 2007 15:31

Hi!
It depends,if you are current on the A320 and have some experience the upgrading could be done within 4 months.

Why people join Wizzair?
Many A340,747,330 and 320 captains and fo join wizz because they can work at home,Hungarians,Polish Germans,Austrians(some bases are near the border to germany, austria).

Wizzair is another word for fair play,if they say that you`ll be upgradet within 3 months they will do it .

The nice atmosphere. There are not captains like: I`m the captain and you are nothing.........(I`m sure every fo knows what i mean):ok:

...compare Wizzair(salary) with Malev,Lot etc.
But you are right wizzair has to change something.

a320_richie 4th Jun 2007 17:14

I'm current on A320 and now have the choice:

Go to let say India or the middle east and go for the "big money" or remain in europe and hope for a quick upgrade.

Aussie 5th Jun 2007 01:03

Does anyone know if local pilots with low hrs are getting a look in, or the pool of pilots with experience is too big?

Anonymus6 5th Jun 2007 03:29

Aussie,

A friend of mine had a job interview with WizAir with 900tt and he has FAA license.

Here is the thing he hold a Hungarian passport. When I spoke with him last time he said that he think he got the job.:E

Hi
Normally Wizz air employs people who have many hours, most of the newcomers are people from the fokker 100,bae,crj200 or even turbopr.

I think Wizzair doesn`t care about anyone`s nationality.
In my opinion Wizzair is a bit afraid of low timers because they made bad experiences with them.

For you a320_richie:It`s your decision, but keep in mind that not everybody manages the upgrade.I heard that people who joined Wizzair as ready entry captains had to fly as fo for a few months because theyweren`t satisfied with the line training.

a320_richie 5th Jun 2007 18:34

My interview is in two weeks, so I will just wait and see what they can offer me. The good thing about todays market is that people have options again. :D

CaptainProp 5th Jun 2007 18:51

a320_richie - There is no such thing as "big" money in those areas anymore unless you have plenty of total time and 1000 + PIC jet.... Almost all of the contracts in the Middle east, Asia/Far east are based on US $...at the moment this means that you would be better of working for a company paying in £s or Euros....If you have 320 time, go to the UK and you will make some ok money and look at upgrade within 5 years...or less....

Good luck!
/CP

my mate works for wizair and he's not exactly raving about it.
Probably the lowest paying a320 operator in europe. It appears there are some tri's there of questionable ability having only flown tprops before? ( very interesting).
I don't know if it's true but I found through the grape vine that wizz has presented 7 type ratings to guys who did not sign a bond and left immediately upon complition, they must be laughing all the way to the bank now.what a nice present from a company!

I failed interview wit wizzar but i'm not bitter:)
