It seems NEA is taking delivery of more B747s in Stockholm and they will also take delivery of 4 ex-SAS DC9's from STO. The B747s are ex-TransJet. One DC-9 is presently in the USA waiting despatch to Sharjah UAE. Does anyone know more about the current situation? It would be great to fly those ex-SAS DC9's which must be in good condition.

Northeast Returning Crew Member

If anyone wants the real low down on what is going on with Northeast. Their head of the flight attendant department just returned to the USA. If anyone knows her could you get in touch with her and have her read this thread. I really want to know what is happening.....did she get paid?

Thumbs down Last years crews yet to be paid

New crews in place to "assume the position" bend over and grab your ankles.


Now that NEA is back flying, let's see if they can pay their employees from last year. While they have hired crews and are allegedly paying this year, they have yet to pay the crews they had from last year. Good luck for the new generation.

Nea L1011

Spotted on the ground at the Ft.Lauderdale Jet Center. Registration 3D-NEG. Understand she has a beautiful paint job and is just as nice inside.

Talking NEA L1011

The NEA L1011 was ferried from Dakkar to FLL and with an oil leak fixed will carry on to DAL where it is to be used in a movie, then it is anyones guess.

I hope we looked pretty on takeoff. This is a very clean airplane, both inside and out. It is also a very nice flying airplane. We ferried from Dakar to Barbados to Ft. Lauderdale to Dallas Love Field. I'm told, it is to be a prop in a made for TV movie (series pilot) staring Heather Locklear.

To clear up a few details: This airplane 3D-NEG was never in the Hajj Terminal this year (or any year probably). It is an ex-TWA -50 which was in Tucson last year afer coming back into service. In July 03 we ferried it to Cochabamba, Bolivia where it was supposed to go onto a Bolivian AOC and off NEA's Swaziland AOC. The deal fell through for reasons I can not discuss. The airplane was then ferried to Dakar for a possible outbound Hajj contract which never came to light, because -I'm told- of a problem with the Saudi PCA procedures having been changed this year and that change never making it to those who filed our paperwork. Thus, by the time the PCA was approved, it was too late.

I am also the FE who flew the other L-1011 -3D-NEC- for last years Hajj. I was not paid for that work because of NEA not getting their money from a tour operater in Cananda...it's a complicated situation. I've been routinely assured by NEA that my back pay is coming, I believe them. I have already been paid 1/3 of that money before I began flying NEG this year and most all the guys have been paid at least a few thousand dollars (if they did not intend to pay us, why would they give us anything). 3D-NEC is still impounded in Burkina Faso where we left it last year. It is my understanding that there may soon be some relief on that because NEA has thus-far proven their case (that the money owed there was supposed to come from the Canadian company).

This year, we were not being paid by NEA, but by Flightstar Group/Tristar Capital, the owners of the airplane. They basically leased the AOC from NEA in order to operate it. We have been paid in advance every 2 weeks without any serious problems, even though we were in Dakar. This includes paying the flight attendants per diem in cash USD (not an easy task in Senegal).

That's it in a nutshell. I'm optimistic that things will work out for NEA and Flightstar Group in the future. Just my humble opinion.

PS. If anyone knows the other FE, from last years hajj, please refer him to this post or have him contact NEA, I'm told there is money waiting for him too.

Angry NorthEast has yet to pay for Hajj 2002/2003

Where's the Vampire exterminator? Cause that's what the Northeast scum are, blood sucking Vampires that should be drug out into the open and a stake driven thru their black hearts.

They continue to claim that they are going to settle their debts but yet fail to do so. Some have received a little chump change, but others have not received anything.

They now are operating a former TransJet 747, still in the TJ livery because the NorthEast name is now known to be what it is, the lowest form of aviation scum out there.

Their black hearted management will get what's coming to them eventually. Buffy the Vampire Slayer should pay a visit to Miami and exterminate the NEA lot once and for all.

Glenn Heikkila - Eric Paillet - and the Poindexter character... need money to party.
Crews do not get paid... but they got their money for parties, for their Porsches and SUVs...

You want to be a widebody pilot, go for them...
Salary, wages... well, they give flight time on these planes, what else would YOU want...

What else is new welcome to corporate america the big boys play while the folks that put them there get screwed....even at the most bottom feeding airlines this industry attracts more losers and crooks than any other..lived in california during the 70's and early 80's to experience enough of those type operators

Rumor has it that they have called around to find a current 747 pilot (or co-pilot?) - current, qualified, etc... to fly an to/from Baghdad, Iraq... out of SHJ or DXB...
