More than 1 John Poindexter out there

Hi duchy,

I doubt this is the same John Poindexter that you are referring to, since this JP would have been approx 14 years old 25 years ago. So I doubt that he had any involvement with Air Ecosse.
Maybe he had a model of theirs. lol
This JP is not a Brit.

L1011 and Wet Lease

Today my buddy received a call from a woman at Flightstar ordering galley equipment for an L1011. Guess they need some updating in their kitchen if they want to feed people.

She ordered lots of trays, trolleys, coffee pots, ect. Perhaps that L1011 isn't quite ready to fly.

Plus, did not know that Poindexter had a female in the office.

Yes, despite not replying to their offer of an aircraft, I still received a fax from them for the L1011!

I met JP a coupleof years back, and although I didn't really like the fella...I couldn't fault his recruitment choices when it came to women. (if you know what i mean )

Northeast and Women

If you check out Flightstar (Poindexters company) there is the name of Ann Meili as Office manager. Then, if you check out the December 2003 issue of Airways, Ann Meili has an article on flying for Royal Jordanian.

Has her photo in the article, so, Poindexter is still taking on good looking women.

Heard that Poindexter has bought the 3 Former Transjet B747s in Sweden. They have been registered in Swaziland and one of them is being ferried this month for maintenence checks.
Whats he up to now?

747's and Northeast

Poindexter didn't buy them. Eric from Northeast did. Poindexter only has his L1011 on the NEA certificate.

New class starts for NE

Three 747 classes start Monday in MIA. I have a friend in one of them. Anybody know if any of the previous crews were paid? How about the DO, Ron Smith - is he a straight up guy?

Just for the record, I was never paid last Haj an neither was any 747 crews that were involved in this mess last year in Jed.
Northeast claims it had nothing to do with them.
Yet our Saudia tickets said Northeast I still have an ID card thats issued in the name of Northeast an I was told to fax my license to Northeast.
Northeast still denies any part of this operation.
We have 3 crewmembers working with us here that was involved in that ordeal an they too have never received a dime.
I also know of several Tristar crewmembers that were never paid by Northeast.
They had to find their own way home.
I was lucky as I was recalled by my old company to pick up the Saudia contract.
I just changed hotels.
Let me put it in simple terms.
If I was a bank I would not loan these people money based on their bad credit history.
Better get paid in advance an make sure you have a ticket back home, or you will join the rest of us.

By the way!
If this company has changed hands or operating with different people then due to their past bad reputation they should have no problem in paying you in advance an giving you a return ticket home.
Their was 8 crews when I was their last year and over 130 F/A.
Be careful. these are not trustworthy people.

If this company claims to be honest then
why are all their aircraft registered in Swaisiland.
Willing to bet that your contracts will be based on Swaisiland enforcement also.
Then if you are not paid you will be left in the same boat as all us other Americans an Brits, to include a few Canadians.
Even with an office in Mia we could not do anything, neither could the L-1011 crews about our pay.

This is a really sore subject with me here.
I witnessed crew sim checks being whited out an line checks to reflect current pilot status..
I was also present when the Saudia PCA reviewed such documents.
Being an Ex saudia employee an also an American I just shook my head in disgust wondering how after 20 years in the flying game did I ever get myself involved with such lies an deciet.
I always thought of myself as a pro an now it comes to this.
Air Atlanta Icelandic is looking for 747 crews, may not be the best but things are improving for Pilots.
My advise, this company is about as low as you can go.
I do understand though as we all have bills to pay an families to support.

Donkey
Would like to see you put that contact address back on for the attorney handling this case in sharja.
I have many private post wanting to know if we ever were paid.
Any crew menbers involved should beware. No one was paid.
Last post I received was they were blaming the 747 operation on some company out of Canada.
New lie there .Also they claim to be doing haj work.
The first half of the haj is almost finished.

I have the perfect solution for Northeast.
If they are the ligitimate company they claim to be and all past non payments to the crews were not their fault as they claim, which is a stretch.
Since the are doing the ground schools and hiring in the US, place the pilots on a US contract.
This would establish their credibility an protect the crews.
Then if they did not pay they would be subject to US labor laws an litigation.
If I seen this and had my attorney view this in case of default i might work there.
But this that they are offering sounds like another scam that they are trying to pull.
Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me.

An even smarter solution would be for crews to exercise common sense and not turn wheels without cash up front and a return ticket home up front

Regarding the three B747 parked at Arlanda airport in Stockholm, Sweden:
All three have been taken off swedish registry on january 12. The reason is "export to Swaziland". They are beeing prepared to fly out of Sweden and at least one of them have had its engines run. Rumours say that they are beeing worked on by mechanics from the US.

The ex. Transjet B747s are still at Arlanda, but has now been filled up with fuel. The rumours says that they are to leave later today (19/1). Let's hope they make it all the way...
