Am I right in assuming that EF LGW DEC is exactly the same recruitment process as mainline ?

pretty much, think there might be some sort of handling test as well as the eagle test but it’s broadly similar.

I believe there’s an extra question at the end for EF; are you willing to do all this for less money?

Thats true , but there is no other way for DEC , and some of the travel perks look quite good .

I heard of a collegue from easyJet that got hired at mainline BA in the last few months, back on the rhs, that bid and got a command course date before he even finished his induction course

I can believe it - C32L is super junior these days. The more that join the bottom of that list the better that’s what I say!

This is true. Although technically it was a valid bid for next year, I don’t have a date for a course yet but it should be sometime next year…

Pleased to report that after my Sim assessment I am now in the A320 hold pool. Anyone got any idea how long to expect to be swimming for? I understand there are quite a few cadets joining, so could be a little wait? I am just reaching the end of my redundancy period in my current job and therefore keen to get started asap!

Some cadets have been swimming for about 5 months and got start dates as late as June next year. As a DEP I’d imagine you’ll get something way sooner

Do you mean to say they were swimming for 5 months even before getting a start date in June next year?

Any DEP care to weigh in on the waits at the moment incase they slot some in amongst the cadet courses?

Yes, I was in the pool for 5 months before getting a call with a start date as a cadet, albeit for a bit earlier than June
