Sky Express anyone?
Any information about Sky Express (Greece) would be appreciated. Not that I want to leave my Alpine roost unless forced to, but would prefer not to send a family member on an airline that is dubious or treats its pilots unfairly. Old ATRs to Airbus Neos in a market that is just recovering sounds a bit dubious these days.

The NEOs are new.
The ATRs are being replaced by new ones (-600).
The ATRs have been flying for many years. The owner bought NEOs during the covid crisis, so he got them in a good price. He also got trained crew that was let go from various places. Cockpit is generally a nice place to be (the usual 1-2 exceptions).
Copilot salary was 1500 net per month for 6 months. Then up to 2200. There is no sector pay. It doesn't make any difference if you fly 100 hours or 20.
I've been told now that the salary went up to 2200 net when you join (still no sector pay).
No salary during those 2 weeks of OCC.
There are 14 payslips per year (14x2200).
No seniority list.
No more than 2 days off, even in winter time when the 320 schedule is light.
No jumpseating, you have to pay.
In summer time the rostering department cannot issue a roster for more than 2 or 3 days maximum (fact, confirmed by friends working there). Expect max hours in summer, and asking you to get your leave in winter. In fact, this used to be one of the interview questions - Are you willing to work maximum hours with no summer leave?

Thanks for the info. 2200 is not a lot but at least you don’t starve in low season. Interesting how you can get away with rostering for 2-3 days only when EASA rules require 14 days in advance. High time for a real European aviation authority rather than national CAAs that look the other way so hard they strain their necks.

EUR 1500 - 2200 net to fly an Airbus in Europe? On max hours with no roster? And somebody who spent north of 80k EUR on his training considers it acceptable "not to starve" in winter? This is for april fools day right? RIGHT?

Consider now AEGEAN Airlines, a member of STAR ALLIANCE where a senior FO gets 2500 E average/month net (More during summer season, much less during winter.14 salaries + out of base/perdiems + flight pay included, Total: 30K/year net). That was PRE-Covid (2019)!
If the flag carrier of Greece which happens to be a Star Alliance member, pays 2500 E a SENIOR FO (If you are new on type calculate much less than that) then the rest of the Greek companies will be based on/take as a reference that.
If you pay yourself the A320 TR you get 2500 E, if not subtract 300 E/month while if you are new on type then the reference is not 2500 E but significantly lower. 2500 E average/month net is for senior FO (> 1500 h on type).
efood delivery workers (scooter-bike riders) who are not flying a 90 M machine, during one week strike, they achieved better conditions when they defended their contracts. ''Bending over'' type of pilots are always an amazing present/gift for every management/company.
There are other ''career'' opportunities/paths that generate much more money while ''bending over''...

Not trying to recommend or endorse this operation in any way, but apparently there are places that are even worse, where you are without guaranteed minimum pay during the low season. My main concern was wether it was safe and ethical to put a family member on one of their flights on a route where RYR is the alternative.

Minimum time off as per https://osha.europa.eu/en/legislatio...ive-2000-79-ec is 52x2 - 3x2 +3x7 = equivalent of weekends plus three paid vacation weeks which overlap (IIRC).
What they did in OE and partly in Poland was most despicable, proper capitalist. But not slavery.
It seems you have 2 good choices out of the three options.

Is that 5/4 valid for all airlines under the RYanair brand? I don’t think the Lauda guys had that.
Don‘t really understand your 2000/79 calculation. It says 96 days off plus 4 weeks vacation (which basically means 2 days off per week throughout the year).

Secondly, kudos for the OP, I like the whole idea behind it.
Such terrible times if RYR is singled out as the only acceptable option. I have nothing to add.

Lauda UK is moving to 5/4. It's no charity but pilot life is better. I missed the webinar 2 days ago, not sure about other branches.

Avion pays 4000€ to experienced FO - before tax.
Last winter it was no basic salary (some guys ended up earning 0 during the whole season).
This winter it is 1200€ for FO - including per diem, etc. Plus BH payment. But one might end up for 35 days in the shadiest area/hotel in Miami just on STBY and using more money on food.
And of course, it is not 20/10, but 22/9. Well, to be correct, its 24/7, because commuting is on your days OFF (so its not really off, is it?) - that's for EU. Outside of EU its 35/13.
By all means, there are a lot to like about Avion and it might be great company for certain type of people.

Completely agree with level change!! We do argue and complain about terms and conditions decreasing year after year, especially after the pandemic and we consider these condition not so bad?? Are you really serious? I would definitely stay away from that!
