Rat 5 you are a scholar and an airman of sage wisdom. Thank you for that post. You put it right on the line, as it lay, in Europe at the moment. Every word of it -- I wish I could grab every active airline pilot in Europe by the head and make him/her read that post.

A while ago I chatted to a Ryanair pilot who for the first week of his course was intending sleeping in his car! Shame that whilst FR attempt to woe pax by improving customer service they don't give one iota about their staff. Made me feel ashamed to be in aviation.
