JB007, agreed! It seems as though the questions might even have been written by someone with experience at the pointy end of the operation! Interesting. Verbal reasoning test was quite time constrained I thought. Still if easy are going to charge for selection/interview I'm not interested.

I think though that the time constraints are meant to see how fast and accurate the subject is... not that he/she can answer everything in time..
This way they can see wether you will trade accuracy for speed or vice versa...

Why do I get a feeling that the guys waiting towards the end of the cut-off date are going to do better!

I am pretty sure ezy guys will also take into consideration how much time did it take to complete the tests mate.
Not sure waiting until the very last day is the right option...

Non type rated easyjet recruitment?

What about a joystick as opposed to a mouse for some of these tests. Has anyone tried?

tests

I did the tests this morning and largely ok but I guess they'll probably use it as way of discarding 75% of the applications if they have 3000 applicants for 100 jobs!!!
didnt like the complex handling one much but then I dont spend my life playing computer games..........

eaglesnest1972 - On one level you are not wrong. However, nothing is ever what it seems. We are indeed taking 200 pilots, but 100 of them are effectively already spoken for in the form of cadets from the likes of CTC, Oxford MPL etc.

It's a filtering process indeed! A bench-mark will be set and if you score below it you will indeed, be discarded. Not exactly a proven method of getting the right people for the job but I guess it's a big airline now and interviewing 1000's of people isn't practical! I was there when it had 737's and James McBride so don't take my word for it!

I completed the test this morning. It was harder than I thought it would be. But we'll see. Doing the handling excersise make sure you don't have a sweaty underarm resting on your desk, it can cause a unwanted collision

if they believe there is no cheating in this kind of assessment they must unbelievable stupid or they are smart.
Let's believe that they are smart.
This means that they have build in some ways of detection. So if you start using calculators or have 3 buddies helping you at the same time they must find out. Easy in the second round were you will do the same kind of test but without aid. (but at least you made it to the second round!)
In other cases they had a couple of easyjet pilots doing the tests making up a demographic of the kind of pilot they want. Somebody knows about this profiling?
At the end better to be yourself than to smart (or to stupid)?

Did anyone get a confirmation email once the tests were completed, or just the 'thank you for completing the tests, please log out....' message on the assessment website once finished?

Easyjet

Hello everyone! I´ve received the first mail (we´ve received your profile) on the 29th of March.
The invitation for the online assessment was the 18th of April.
I finished the online assessment a few days ago, and I´m still waiting for the results. I think we´ve to wait until the online process is active (i think 6 of May).
Good luck!!
