Most of the TR/OCC pilots (73 fleet) currently in the ground school/sim phase are NAA pilots (Norwegian Argentina)
i understand the 2019 requirement is around 250 pilots for each fleet, keep in mind that some people will change fleets ( both direction) but that only changes the mix.
Growth will be much slower in 2019 the 78 fleet will remain at 32 with no new widebody until 2020 (5) not all 78’s are flying at the minute due Trent engine problems but that should be resolved by 1st quarter
2019 will see 4 A321NeoLR joining late year verdict still out on where they will go or even operated but transatlantic out UK looks favourite
MAX will continue to replace NG with 18 in use by this year end 34 by 2019 year end and 58 by 2020 year end.

Norwegian Air Shuttle - European Bases
Dear all,
could you please share some informations about Norwegian contracts? I'm mainly interested in Malaga base salary, benefits, roster and pros and cons but all the others are welcome as well.
Thank you

Hi,
bases are given according to seniority, Malaga is a popular base, so don’t expect to get it any time soon, at least not straight after joining the company.

The Spanish bases are full for captains and hard to get for first officers. You will be looking at some years or more in Gatwick or a Scandi base before you'll reach a proper seniority to be either sent to Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Madrid or Barcelona. Keep in mind, the company is full of spaniards and the Spanish bases are overall very popular among foreigners as well.

Hi guys,
I’ve done the assessment with a positive outcome in Septemberand got offered a starting date in February. Unfortunately I couldn’t take this to comply with my notice period at my current employer.
However im still waiting for a new starting date because they are in the process of finding out their demand for 2019.
Anyone has had any info recently about a starting date?
cheers

I’ve been in the holding pool (NTR) since the end of July. Doesn’t bode well the fact NAS have been cancelling roadshows this year also. Official position is they are reviewing courses, and subsequently pilot demand, for next year aka consolidating to get through the winter - seems logical after significant growth with continued economic pressures.

Hi
A general question on all Norwegian operation.
Rumor has it that all recruitment has stopped!
Anyone in the training department or in the process that can deny or confirm this?
