Not at easyjet, but are any flexicrew guys up for command yet? But 50000 yeah taking the p**s. Why would you want the responsibility of command on the salary of an F/O?

As a whole current permanents FOs and captains have done little to fight flexi crew as they're ok and have a "I'm alright Jack" attitude.
I think this could be a game changer. Currently permanent FOs on an EZY contract are much better placed to get their command. Current flexi crew first need a permanent contract which are not easy to get and are a thing of the past in the UK.
If this rumour is true then this could be a way of flexi crew getting their command before a permanent FO on an EZY contract. Meaning there is no career progression in the UK. Their (perm. UK EZY contract FOs) only option would be to take thie command in a foreign base where flexi crew is not allowed.
afterall, why would the company pay the going rate for an FO to become captain where you can get flexi crew in at half the price (taking into account pension, sick, no basic wage which are core to the flexi crew Fset up).
I can see this upsetting current permanent FOs big time. Interesting times ahead. This is worse than Openskies, Iberia Express or TED. This I'd cheaper labour within the SAME airline.Remember the upset these projects caused?
