I tried to find some info as well ... nobody seems to know anything, and the people working there are very quiet ..
T+C's with commuting look good, and Shenzhen is apparently a good place. A friend of mine applied and never heard anything .... shame, as this could be an indicator for future communication ..

They area a start up and still going through training and rostering issues. The pay is high because the Chinese taxes are not paid for you, subtract about 30% for taxes. They will be a good player in 2 years but still going through initial growth phase problems.

Chinese tax

According to the table on the smile-aviation website, the numbers are net, after tax paid.

B737/B757/B767 Captains in SF Cargo Airlines - Pilot Jobs in China--Enjoy your flight with Smile Aviation

Click on the link and read the top part of the table: Terms and conditions, where it says (USD/After Tax), I don't see how it could be much clearer.

Well, they are not so new. First flight on the 01st of Jan 2010. Operates B757s and two B737s.

Very few foreign pilots in for moment. Have plans for rapid expansion. I have no friends in company, but know few who are in process of getting in company.

Money is after tax. Payable in RMB.
Two different contracts available, with three different rosters.
Some whispers about biiig money coming in airline.

Until someone get in, this is info for a moment.

Things may have changed but Smile website is also potentially incorrect. When I seriously looked at them this is what another agency sent me.
Based on 60 hours guaranteed, the salary is 16500 USD/month for resident package (net above 11670 USD), 15500 USD/ month for commuting package (Net above 11000 USD);- Over 60 hours, 185 USD/hour (net about 129 USD) to be paid;- Housing allowance 8000 RMB/month, to be reimbursed with invoice;- Annual ticket allowance 10000USD/month, to be reimbursed with ticket;- 25 days of Annual leave per calendar year, Maximum 10 days sick leave per calendar.

You were quite categorical in your second post, stating there was no mention of net after taxes, whilst in fact it was clearly stated on Smile-aviation's website.

I cannot verify the correctness of the information on Smile-aviation's website, but at the moment SF is not the only company offering more than 200.000 USD net, I therefore find no reason to doubt their information.
But don't worry, I already wrote a mail to Smile asking them to verify, as I like to deal with fact instead of speculation.

Wyoming:

Sometimes you can tell people good first hand information, but they prefer to get their information from some unknown website. I doubt Smile whatever has a copy of the contract, like this:

2、Constitution of the Foreign Pilot Remuneration
The remuneration of the foreign pilots include: basic monthly salary, scale wage (for FO), Position
Allowance, Layover Allowance, Contract Safely Completion Bonus (for Captain), etc. All items listed below
are pre-tax and the pilot is obligated to pay the income tax according to the applicable tax law and
regulations.
The company is required to deduct the monthly withholding tax from the pilots’ salary, but bear
no responsibility other than this.
