Is it just "connected" people been interviewed, as the website states there is still a freeze on flight deck recruitment.

GF,

Have you called Monarch directly and asked the same questions? That's what I'd do!

I don't think the website has been touched in about 4 years...

Not just connected people, I know of people who've got interviews and then jobs simply by sending CV's and then chasing them up.

5 x B757 type-rated to start shortly and the possibility of a few more vacancies on that fleet.

Specific Candidates invited

Type Rating alone is not enough. They prefer CTC cadets or 500+ Hours on Type with a UK Airline.

I see their CEO is leaving 'abruptly' with no explanation. Potentially of concern.

Yes but why? His tactics or something that's on a need to know basis that a pilot looking to move doesn't need to know?

GF,

This wasn't a case of paying some outfit for an A320 rating and a few hours on type was it?

As a TRTO they train their own cadets, and most other type rated A320 pilots would have already worked for a recognised and respected airline, racking up a significant number of annual hours on type.

Yes but, to be fair, they had already selected him or her.
