Easyjet

Hello everyone. Does anybody know when easyjet will be opening up recruitment again for either direct f/o's or ctc cadets? Heard a lot of f/o's were leaving for BA and Emirates so hopefully they may be short.

There are definitely quite a few leaving, especially now amongst FO's, but think will take a few months of resignations before the recruitment process is planned to begin again. Oh, and Flexi-crew apparently to be abandoned as hugely unpopular.
Good news in a short period of time for the more experienced amongst us I hope.

Nothing definite to tell you other than the latest roumour I picked up from the training department when I was in the Sim. We are running out of suitable SFO's to promote and next winter we will have to take in direct entry SFO's who will be suitable for command in 6-12 months. This is what the trainers are telling management, so we will have to wait and see happens. Keep the ball in middle and push the needle till autumn and hopefuly a plan will emerge.

Yes somewhere between 50- 70 ( my guess) are leaving or have left. Yes this will probably leave an experience gap between low houred cadet and required new captain. However, easyjets main source of new pilots will continue to be ctc / parc and flexicrew. It's only unpopular with pilots, management love it. Talk of direct entry sfo is prob correct in perhaps a year but it will only be to plug a gap. Don't expect it to be a permanent change unless the exodus to ba etc accelerates massively.

Ezs are currently holding recruitment sessions for FO's.
Most of the british FO's have applied to BA, 2 of us have already handed their resignation letters in.
If I were you, I'd apply to EZY mainline through Parc/Ctc/Oxford, as there is NO TRANSFER from EZS to EZY (I quite like the expression 'Golden Jail'). Management at EZS is absolutely terrible !

Flexicrew guys at EZY are being given permanent contracts from as little as 500 hours, with a greater possibility to get the base of your choice !

As far as I know we are only intending to continue the policy of employing children to fill the RHS, via CTC/PARC.

Out of interest, I've previously looked at Parc aviation for easy recruitment and never seem to find the link....

Actually it's only the Flexiscrew guys who have been in the company for 18 months or more who will get the permanent contracts. IF the new pay deal is accepted by the workforce.

Management at EZS is absolutely terrible !
And management at EZY is any better? Get a grip.

SUPERCED

You never miss an opportunity to 'have a go' at easyjet or any other Lo Co.

What's your problem?

Perm contracts have been offered to flexicrew with as little as 200 hours in order to fill certain base crewing requirements. The usual is 6 months, or 500 hours.

The pay deal clause is in addition I believe, meaning if you last 18 months without applying for one of the perm contracts you will be offered one without having to go through all the hoopla.

The last figure I saw, was that upgraded SFOs had been in the company 4½ years on average before getting an upgrade. This could slow down if no captains leave as expansion is not as violent anymore.
