I can only agree, stick to the jet!
Even if you consider you'll be at command on the jet by the same time either way you choose, I would prefer build time on the jet and get command on an aircraft I know well.
Despite, I know many guys who are Captains a long time on TPs and not many chances to upgrade to a jet were offered, who were told by companies they rather upgrade FOs with time on jet...
And I would like to be sure the company realy upgrades you the pace you've been told, considering the situation in your coutry remains stable and your company sticks to their plans (not so sure this days anymore, even w legacy companies).

Actually the same is true for Jets lighter than 45to (eg CRJ, EMB...). A lot of airlines in europe will hire you neither as a DEC due to seniority systems in place nor as a first officer, because they think you will be unhappy as previous commander in the right hand seat again (and with the paycut you'll likely have). And without hours (PIC or SIC) on aircraft bigger than 45to you wont get any of the good expat contract right now on offer. So unless you get a command on a B737/A320 or bigger i would stay where you are and move up the ladder in the right seat first.
