bmi regional hold pool

Hello fellow swimmers

Been a bit quiet on the hold pool front. Anybody heard anything from HQ recently?

Hi FM,

I am swimming at the moment, though its been nearly two years for me so I'm almost giving up any hope.

Nothing new from any of my contacts in the company, crewing is correct and as such if they were to win another contract, perhaps they would need extra people.

I did hear a nasty rumour that mainline FO's may go RHS on the 145 though another told me that wouldn’t happen as it wouldn’t be accepted, mainline guys being paid more than 145 guys, and then, who would get commands on the 145. They thought it was all a bit complicated and unfair.

The thing is airlines don’t do fair, they do what’s necessary to keep costs down.

I wait with baited breath, though I am less hopeful than before

Best of luck to you

BRS

Hi Guys its meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

i've been swimming for 47 years"my dad taught me"
never got a phone call from bmi when i handed my pin in.
rumour has it you'll be swimming for the next 10-20 years but botox is getting cheaper if you've got wrinkles

also big lawsuit against bmi by wronged and disgruntled eastern guys is on the horizon -there might not be a bmi around for much longer!
meine deutshe freunde informs me das in der necht few wochen 56 guys vill be moving from ze holding pool in Deutshland to der uk and this time they won't be in Heinkel HE 111's

Some sort of revenge for the Ruer valley damms!

Anyone now with under 5000 hours can forget aviation - the party is over so keep playing on microsoft flight simulator

Bilderberger,

I have read some of your other posts with great interest, but I have to say rarely did you offer anything constructive.

Your 5000 hour estimate is based on what?

Understood that bmi didnt go about the tupe as perhaps they should, but it was legal, so how can they sue? Four guys from Eastern are not going to bring down regional

Suggest you fire up flightsim, no one as clueless as you is allowed in a cockpit for real, come on, your kidding me, they let you fly?

Nice one, BildyBoy.

bmibaby are understood to be of minor interest to LH...= nothing to look forward to. Shame.

four!!

you are misinformed my friend oops your not my friend
i know its just two guys and two can cause a lot of damage
read your history books instead of making model airplanes
a lot of things have happened by the actions of one guy .
as for flying well lets define that skill,i'll say skill because govt stats now say its a skill and not profession!
i've think i've done more airline flying than you will ever hope to achieve with your limited 900 per year
i still examine when i can be bothered and i'm afraid to say the standard is just not there anymore because dead reckoning vor adf hdg compass time check hieght hdg speed is not possible with modern airline pilots without good old george'efis'fms
the last airline pilot i checked out on a 172 proved to me that he could'nt fly..it was'nt his fault as he'd simply forgotten how to
so here's some advice ,,the next time you go in a light aircraft take a private pilot with you"he just might save your life"
as for the airline industry the last time this sort of slump reared its ugly head it took 9 years to pick up and this so called swimmers pool will probably need retiling
so lets get it straight ..pilots are no longer gods but workers and seen so by the company.the only difference between you and joe bloggs is the uniform and in your case "with your superior attitude"with two stripes.
remember! the only thing that pumps your head up is the class one medical an if that goes its a big mac and large fries please

I dont want an argument with anyone.

Is it true that the eastern guys (chester) got tupe'd across then let go the following day. I heard that rumour and if its true is pretty awful.

But that is as far as my disdain will go, if its true.

He is from Fyfe though, I suspect he came over poorly at the interview stage, either that or that straight forward sim ride exposed him!

Yes, all things aside, keep your fingers crossed guys.

Keep enjoying the GA flying bilderburger, some of us can't afford such luxuries anymore!

I'm just reading the thread and wondering why Bilder is such a bitter person??

In my experience, trainers and examiners dont tend to shout about their qualifications, unless they feel they have to use them to prove their worth to others.

What a sad frame of mind, eaten up by such bitterness. Life is for enjoying not for making cheap remarks against others in the hope of bolstering ones faltering and rather suspect ego.

Hope this helps you guys...but it's no good news

Just to be clear, my flying days are done, I don't fly for BMI Baby or anyone else. However, a close and trusted friend flies for BMI Baby (Scotland base) and assures me that he (and his colleagues) are hanging on to their jobs by their fingernails. (Worryingly low load-factors - not surprisingly).

Under these circumstances, why would the airline even consider dipping into the pool? As an old stager I really feel for you young guys; I survived through2 or 3 recessions but have seen nothing as grave as current economic situation..... and I personally share the view that the coming winter season will see the end of many established operators.... and the drastic downsizing of others. Good luck to you all. bm

good luck to all in the hold pool....i think you will have a long wait, as we all know aviation is still on its knees.I worked for them for two years and it was great fun.I,m not sure if they would have to offer the recently redundant baby crews jobs before external,

bildeberge......are you drunk or do you think you are funny ?.Just a troll i guess.

Just a small point of order. bmibaby don't have a Scotland base. Only Regional.
