Just to be clear, my flying days are done, I don't fly for BMI Baby or anyone else. However, a close and trusted friend flies for BMI Baby (Scotland base) and assures me that he (and his colleagues) are hanging on to their jobs by their fingernails. (Worryingly low load-factors - not surprisingly).
Under these circumstances, why would the airline even consider dipping into the pool? As an old stager I really feel for you young guys; I survived through2 or 3 recessions but have seen nothing as grave as current economic situation..... and I personally share the view that the coming winter season will see the end of many established operators.... and the drastic downsizing of others.
