TCX Chief Pilot
The new Chief Pilot at Thomas Cook has apparently been at a number airlines Silverjet, BA City Flyer, BA Connect, BA City Express and British Regional Airlines to name but a few.
Anyone at these airlines like to comment on what we can expect at TCX.

Well, that's two airlines you've mentioned!
All the others were the same with the name changes as the companies progressed or not, whichever was the case. You may well have omitted Manx Airlines and Manx Airlines Europe!!
Understand he baled out of BRAL or whatever it was called on the day because he was fed up with the BA bullshine. Best of luck Paul.

I should say the history of Silverjet, BA Connect, BACX, BRAL, Manx states the obvious. But he is actually quite a professional guy. But doesn't know a lot about charter ops and aircraft larger than a J41 or Emb145 where he cut his teeth, and managed to fly once a month in his latter years at Bacon. Can't have got a lot of experience of bigger aircraft in SJ because they didn't last long with him there (nothing personal I'm sure). Quick learner, his one major failing in Bacon was blatantly lying (ie speaking what the MD Evans spoke) when genuinely he probably didn't believe the BS either.
But surely there must be better qualified people to have taken this job? Unless a clean look was needed?

I endorse what victim wrote...a very professional guy.
Also has an unusual trait in management in my experience...an ability to listen & act upon what is said on the coal face..........TCX's gain for sure....I would never hesitate to work for/with him again given the chance.

He left Bacon when the Flybe sell off occurred, like most sensible people!

In his own words,"Very ambitious." Others might use vernacular such as arrogant, self interested, greasy pole-climber. Oh, and nepotism of course. I wouldn't necessarily agree.
