Parking the aircraft from the RHS is fine, right up to the point you hit or are hit by something. Tapes pulled, breach of SOP's, sacked gross misconduct.

Very few FO's have such fragile egos that they have a hissy fit when they cannot park the aircraft. I my opinion you are a mug if you do it as an FO or allow it as a Capt.

About 2 years ago eJ had an advert (in flight I think) highlighting a "Fast Track Command" process. Does anyone have a copy per chance?

That was before we had a list of 100 + SFO on the command waiting list.

180 airbus at intersection

I recentely overheard on the radio an Airbus pilot explaining to the tower that since he was in an Airbus, it wasn't allowed for him to turn around at an intersection but it was ok for him to taxi to the end and turn around. And he had to explain it many times to the tower guy because he too was unfamiliar with that.

Would somebody care to explain ?

Thanks, SD

There is no command waiting list on Inside. The waiting lists on Inside are for base transfers.

The big "announcement" was of course a joke.

Dont think that ezy will overtake another airline for some time, especially bearing in mind that there is still issues to take care of after the merging with GB Airways...

But I can start a rumour; how about a new "Low Cost Alliance"?? Does that not sound cool or what? easy Ryan

Fast track command was in 2006. In 2008 its a totally different game.

Re: Fast Track Command.

I know it's different now (all too well).

I was hoping someone may have had a copy of the advert.

Is it true new FOs (recently line checked) are being forced to take 6 months unpaid leave, last in first out?

Hi WWW,

Does anyone know what is happening in the next few months regarding the guys in the Hold Pool and EasyJets current and future Pilot Requirements?

Any idea if the company is expanding or not? I've heard the rumours that STN will have no future for Ezy? I hope it's just a silly rumour!! Has anyone been called from the Pool recently ie. over the last few weeks/months?

Any good info. would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Si.

It's a bit doom and gloom at the moment in terms of recruitment, not suprisingly. The winter schedule will feature some routes being cut and frequency reduction on many more. Lots of unpaid leave available for flight crew. Management redundancies. Really can't see the need for any recruitment for a while, hopefully things will start to look up sooner rather than later

Not quite, there are 35 aircraft being delivered next year. Some will replace boeings and A320/1 but overall there will be a net gain and there a need for new crews.

Not privvy to timescale, sorry!

If it helps I have numerous friends who have recently (well about 2/3 wks to months ago) passed selection and have now been placed in the hold pool. Some of them have already been allocated courses ranging from October to December and some are still swimming.

Either way fom what they said Easy are running regular recruitment days and recruitment is still strong. So keep applying.

Bubair, are you Direct Entry or TRSS?

TRSS saves the company a lot of money (You pay for the type rating and in return you get reduced salary and pension contributions, no salary or expenses while training, 9 months before you come of the 90% salary and the company qualifies for tax rebates on the training etc. etc) so if you are a Direct Entry Swimmer, ring up and offer yourself as TRSS. It may just speed things up. Depends on how long you can wait and whether or not you can afford TRSS.

Good luck
