No you are not the lowest paid B-767 F/O:

Here at AA I make $30,800 anually.

That is probation pay. (First year only)
Second year it is around 85K, third year 100K and up.

Nice one BIK. Actually it is called Purchasing Power Parity, or it was when I was at school. But out there in Qantas land they buy beer from the retailers in aluminium cans called tinnies, and they buy those in packs of 24 called slabs. So suggest the New Universal Currency be SLABS, and then you can compare incomes after taking out whatever the local taxman thinks is his reward for whatever he provides in your life. Easy. Best of luck.

Definitely not the lowest pay: on the B767 as an F/O, here at Lan Chile I make US$26000 p/a after taxes (CLP$1800000) but that’s when I used to have a job!!!

Together we shall overcome...

Boeing Boy is wrong - FO's in UK charter airlines make considerably more than that (I was last an FO in a UK charter airline 10 years ago and on £27K then), as he and others from down south will find out when their jobs have all disappeared and they turn up here again looking for work. Anyway the doors will be closed as things are getting tight here so who'll be whinging then?

$US55000 for a 777 FO with EK. No tax etc, and we are given good rates on bomb shelters as well.
I guess now is not a good time to be arguing the pilots case in an EBA.
Rumour has it that Australian will be offering $AUD 70000 of FOs, and $AUD 120000 for a captain. Times are not good.

Ess Jay,

My brother is a 757/767 FO with Delta Airlines. He just finished his 2nd year with the airline and as a 757/767 made +$100,000 with little over time. He has 30 years to go with Delta - if it survives the current crisis.

Delta is one of the highest paying airlines globally - $100K in the 2nd year alone - pretty good deal. Add to that nice routes like Cancun and Bermuda for domestic pilots. Let's hope it lasts without many furloughes, etc...

Cheers

Thumbs up

Nice one BIK. One problem though we normally buy beers in pints. Apparently the Ossies have tinnies and slabs (there is no accounting for taste) and when you take it on board you have to refer to it by weight - now what is the specific gravity of beer? ...

So the question should be : How many BIG MAC's can I buy for my salary ?

Cool

hi I am a Britannia 767 F/o salary per annum approx 57000 usd . With allowances a comfortable 64000usd. Keeping in mind the high cost of living we enjoy over here VAT or gst whatever is 17.5 % a big mac meal costs (no upsize)about 4 pounds or approx 10.50 AUD in aussie speak.A case of beer costs approx 15 to 18 pounds approx or approx 50 aud. But there are ways around this problem. Do not eat Mcdonalds and buy your cases of beer in Spain from the crew shop at 10 pounds a case or 27 AUD.Crap weather and utility bills are also a killer. Anyway hope this is an indicator.
