Nothing new to impart, just that things not looking hopeful for the mainline holdpool in the short to medium term????? Think most airlines are in the same position from what I gather so guess it comes as no surprise but still hurts real bad

BMI have issued a memo for Pilots voulanteering for unpaid leave as they are laying up Airbusses for the winter. Don't know how many.

I'm also feeling the same way! Been in the pool for a year now and it feels like my dream job is slipping away. People say take anything you can get but I have found nothing else for low hrd pilots straight from flying school. I'm thinking about instructing but not really sure where to start looking for instructing jobs. My best guess is things may start to get better from March next year, still a long time though......

I must be dreaming here mate , are you saying that you are not yet a commercial pilot , ie you have a licence but no experience and are hanging around in the hope that you will eventually get hired by a small UK airline with no expansion plans and whose entire future format is up for debate (Germany).

You are either rich or crazy , what has the world come to , get out there guys and get a flying job , any job ,this nonsense that seems to be doing the rounds that it has to be a jet job , utter bo****s .Wake up and smell the coffee !
