With the normal health warning that this is not from horses mouth but crew room chat: BB has apparently said that he will be taking people from the hold pool during the summer and new interviews starting August / September time so things look like they will start moving shortly.

BMI Regional....well there is a element of conflicting information but it seems they are currently over-crewed but will be back on track by the Summer. There is very little turnover at present so I guess it will take some natural wasteage before people start being taken on again.

Maybe later this year, early next......who knows???

Or waiting for the hangman!
Seriously though lets hope that all this comes to something not just from a selfish point of view that I might get an interview but for all the guys who have been swimming for so long.
Hell, Barnsley just beat Chelsea - anythings possible.

So is this definitive then? Things are in motion? Thats very good news. Now, I asked this question a while ago:
Do you have the opportunity to update your application form to show your increase in hours or any other change in circumstances or do you just do a whole new one at the time?
Does anyone know the answer? I have a few more hours and have a new address.
Thanks for any info.

Why so?

Things seem to be looking a little better now, will there be courses that are run consecutively into the forseeable future or was this course just a one off? There can't be that many people still in the hold pool by now surely...?

I for one would love to know how many of us there are. On the last e mail from BB I counted 24 names. Not even sure where I am on that list but have been in since Aug 07. For you guys starting on 7th of April, how long a wait has it been for you?

Apparently a course of 4 this week, followed by another course of 4 in April.

Good luck to those who've got the call

Question

possibly more interviews soon too
Anything a bit more concrete? This has been rumoured for a while which leads one to suspect that this is not some knee jerk reaction to people leaving/retiring etc, they seem to be working to a plan.
Would be good to know if interviews are definately in the pipe line over the next few months so can start dusting off a bit of interview technique and tech knowledge in the hope of getting somewhere!!

I would do that..... though its a good idea not to let it slip anyway. I ve been given less than 24 hours notice for an interview more than once.

Xwind, I'm not saying I have let my knowledge lapse but we can always, all of us, brush up on a few specific points tech wise - I was referring more to the brushing up of interview technique and hammering the internet for all things bmi. I hope they give more than 24 hours notice though!! Ouch!
Anymore updates people while I'm here? Seems to have gone quiet for a few days now.
