Monarch recruitment

Hello there !

Sorry to start a new thread about Monarch but this one is intented to be specifically about Monarch recruitment as long as there are infos to share on the subject.
I understand that a significant number of resignations are going on there and was wondering whether the consequences were actually felt in terms of new needs. What then would be the current Company policy towards that ? (current required profile/experience)
Having submitted an application with them about two months ago, I still have not heard from them. (I currently have 2500 hrs turboprop).

Thanks for any highlights

Bleed, if you listen to our MD and Ops director, they will tell you with a straight face that there are NO resignations.
Your interview may come up sooner than you think.

Bleeds,

It would appear that the company want to continue to expand its network to further southern and more eastern med destinations.
They are also attempting to modernize the long haul aircraft fleet with the introduction of the 787.
The main difficulty they are going to have to face up to is pilot retention, not a shortage of available airframes.
Essentially for the likes of yourself, MON may well be an employer worth getting in with for a couple of years, as its stands, you could be the companies most experienced F/O in a couple of years time.
Our new MD has stated emphatically that he has been able to recruit 60 of the highest quality candidates for our expansion, he has neglected to say that in that time he has lost 13 high quality experienced pilots, and that at present there is anecdotal evidence to suggest at LEAST an equal number are working their notice, with many more awaiting "yes" letters or the outcome of the current pay round to decide on their future path.
Monarch is not the employer it once was, it is a great place to get 1500hrs of jet time under your belt before you head off to more lucrative and employee orientated companies.

Thanks for the highlights Monarch Man.
60 newbies sounds quite a lot. Hopefully, for those like myself who are trying to get a jet job, they will continue to recruit.
Have those newcomers started to fill up the right hand seats ?

Bleeds...

There is a rumor, and only a rumor....that MON are about to run another TR. Whether this would happen is yet to be seen. Good luck though and hope to see you soon!

Bleeds Off,

Interviews for A320/321 all bases will restart after the summer I heard secondhand.

The process with Monarch is that you may well hear nothing in relation to your letter / online app for ages then interview, job offer and shortest notice you can give to your current employer to get on the course will all happen very quickly.

Training, flying and crews are brilliant here. Industrial relations stuff you can read about elsewhere.

PS if you know anyone who works for MON an email from them about you helps enormously.

Appreciate all your inputs guys and girls thanks.
Will stand by for the call then... if it ever happens....
Not lucky enough to know somebody in there. Will do without.
If any other info that may help to be recruited is available, I would gratefully take it.

cheers
