So where has this threat of a strike got you guys in GB. There seems to be very little input from anybody now that the strike action has evaporated, is everyone licking their wounds? Did anything productive come out of this threat, whats happening in GB? Where are the rumours now, where is flapjack 320 when I need him?

We got sold up the river by BALPA. Now lets look at why,......... because GB is "taking its relationship with BA to the next level" to quote JG.
In my opinion, history shows that BIG Airways controls BALPA, and in this circumstance, it suited them to get this package through, so it convinced the CC that it was worth voting yes for.
The only benefit to my life is 3 days extra days leave in the Winter (when I fly 4 flights a month anyway). However, the deal is so poor, that these 3 days are only "until the new SLD is renegotiated". Reading between the lines, that means we will need to chuck that away when trying to haggle to get some sort of lifestyle back.
Initially, the company offered the extra Winter leave for a few years, not in perpetuity. That offer was rejected. So the company came back and offered less, and the CC get eveyone to vote yes. Only in GB can this happen, bet the management were laughing. Hope the people who voted yes are happy with themselves.
