They had mothballed cadets awaiting line training working in the recruitment office which seemed to help speed up the screening process. I have been led to believe they are about 2/3 through the required 450pilots they need by May 07. Whether they now have enough screened applicants awaiting interview I don't know, but if that is that case I would imagine they aren't putting as much priority on screening new applicants, you could always try firing off the apllication again in case it got lost in the system. It appears the easy recruitment is quite a closed system, as they have only a handfull of guys and girls working there, which is why I guess they don't give out contact numbers or email addresses, otherwise they would be snowed under with pilots asking for a go at the recruitment day, and not having time to carry out interviews. Don't forget the small team also do Cabin Crew recruitment too and we need over 1000 of them!

Lemmiwink - don't know if you would get part time straight off with EZS. I know the guys at EZY have to put in a good few years before they can get part time, in fact the waitlist is already quite long and growing!

I am afraid you might be overqualified Dani as you want a Swiss base.
That would be as an F/O bottom of the seniority list... with 50 guys waiting for command in front of you.
It would take you at least 5 years to command and they think you will get frustrated earlier.
This is the story they were telling me when I wanted to join after flying for them as a contractor.

Does anyone know how it works when you get your unfrozen licence just after joining EZY? Do you just have to show your new licence to someone and you go onto SFO status/money straight away, or do you have to wait for your next 6mth line check or anything like that first? If anyone has actually been through this situation at EZY your info would be appreciated a lot.

Also, what if I do manage to get the total hours needed and the full licence just before joining? The contracts I received are on the basis of FO not SFO as that is what I would be today. Is the upgrade that automatic on production of the full licence?

Looks like I will be within 50hrs under or over of the magic 1500hrs when I join...would expect to definately have the total needed during or soon after line training.

Thanks
