Fra - Mme

Is there anyone out there with any knowledge of Ts and Cs with FRA? Roster info, weekend working and overseas deployment gen would also be handy. Direct Entry Command and time to command would be welcome. Thanks in advance. JTP

PS. Is it an ex - mil flying club?

If I am correct the T & C's are as follows:
- Fly
- Get shot at
- Repeat
I havn't tried but the ol 'PPJN' may give such a lead?
Regards and best of luck.

No expert, however as far as I know, FRA at MME is mostly weekday stuff.

MME FRA do mostly EW training/radar jamming etc..

Not strictly an ex mil club, but there are a good percentage due to the nature of the work.

As far as I know, its the FRA from eastbourne that play wit the Navy during thursday wars... MME's gang play games with the hawks of 100sqn.

Regarding time to command, Ts & C's... no idea, but the guys I've spoken to seem chuffed with their job.

Hope this helps.

Again, no expert, but I understand that the pilots there are mostly ex-mil since they operate the aircraft as scaled up fast-jet. Hopefully it goes without saying that since they are employed mostly on MOD contracts, an understanding of military flying is probably a massive advantage! They do seem to spend quite some time overseas supporting exercises and other contract work.

For Falcon command you will need a fast jet background and preferably single seat at that. There are a few (very rare) exceptions.

Even those that join with FJ skill sets have to achieve 500 hrs MCC time in the RHS to meet CAA requirements. This may be on the King Air for FPL calibration role (ICAO Annex 10 Flight Inspection role requires 2 pilots see: www.flightprecision.co.uk) before moving over to the Falcons.

FOs have joined from varied backgrounds with a wide range of experience - ex instructors for the most part.

First year is £18K before tax (although there are negotiations for better start options)

Both Falcon and B200 2nd year "B scale" is much better - around £32k plus allowances.

Roster: emailed on Friday night for following week and the company demands flexibility - especially on FPL side where there are lots of detachments around Europe from the Canaries to Stornoway, Schipol to Faro and beyond! So expect changes during the week.

The People and the Flying are very good - lots of hands on and raw data IF work for FPL.

Falcons are much busier at DTV than down South, but Bournemouth has nice perks like a great canteen!

Hope that helps!
