Minimum requirements...
Hi...
As advertised on FI they ask for 1500 hrs TT, not considering anyone below it. Is it real without exceptions? Those figures don't make sense if you logged on SEPs do they? 600 TT will do they job and if you are around that number with jet or TP time I wonder how somebody can fool himself far enough and pay for such a lifestyle. I would give an arm and a leg to fly for them in BCN but for God sake the only thing I am willing to pay is the rent for a flat and the beers for (female) flight attendandants when going for a date on the Rambla!

In the FI advert. Vueling says they offer competitive benefits.
This is not true. Competitive with whom ?
It is true that Vueling does lie, believe only what is in writing, period.
At Vueling there is no loss of license insurance and you pay for your own
pension by paying the high Spanish taxes.

what do know about Ryanair setting up a base at Madrid?
Sorry, I just meant that Ryanair is already in Spain with the Girona Base, which is pretty big. There is Vueling as we already know ( and they are receiving more and more A320s every months), and Easyjet is speaking about opening a base at Madrid..
So I am wondering how catair will cope with

Some of the flights of the new low-cost of Iberia seem quite good.
For example travelling from Barcelona to Moscow and viceversa
with a low budget seems quite interesting.
Besides these last months, Catair has been receiving so much publicity in Spain that if they do things well I have the feeling that a lot of people
will want to experience a flight on the new carrier.
And as I said somewhere, sometime ,... is the first low-cost with already
a fan site: www.catair.cat
There are great expectations ...

Sorry. I misread your original post, thinking you were saying that Vueling, Ryanair and Easyjet were EACH about to get a base in MAD.

I too have heard that Easyjet intend on establishing a stronger presence in the Spanish (domestic!) market.
The link below is news item from a few days ago saying that Easyjet have requested slots to fly between Madrid and Lanzarote.

This would be interesting to see Easyjet break into the Canary Island market? And what's more they would be going straight into competition with Spanish airlines.
Another news article from a couple of weeks ago talks in general about Easyjet planning a significant increase in its Spanish operations and adds that the airline has applied for slots to fly between Madrid and Asturias.

Iberia currently does this route and Vueling are also planning to start up on this route.

It would be excellent to see Ryanair at Madrid
And also if they were to start operations from Madrid to the Canary Islands, we mightn't have to wait long before they start connecting to the islands from their other bases!
It would seem therefore that Spanish domestic market is really hotting up! Vueling are providing some welcome competition to
Iberia / Air Nostrum. Spanair is also an important player.
A brand new airline like Catair would have it's work cut out for it. They'll possibly have to fight off the likes of Ryanair, and that is no easy task.
Not to mention the well established existing players.

that is a very interesting comment indeed and I am not surprised at all that Ryanair and Easyjet are only at the very very begining of the (crazy)game 
...
For sure they will have the domestic market very soon including balearic and canaries islands.
And I agree with you, there is no doubt about the fact that Easy and Ryanair will shortly link Canaries to UK... and it is not a good news for Monarch, First Choice, etc...

I hope that the arrival of clickair (the most likely name for Catair ...)
will bring a healthy war of prices to the Spanish domestic flights.
I am looking forward to travelling to Eivissa (Ibiza) from Barcelona at a
bargain price. Meanwhile I will fly abroad as it is normally cheaper ...

be very cheap or very promotional.

operational and has three emails:

For cabin personnel (TCP) : [email protected]
For the office in Barcelona: [email protected]
When you send them an email they send you another with the
link to a document to be filled in and you must send this document
and your curriculum vitae to a NEW email they give to you.
Everything is in Spanish.

As far as I know the conditions will be very similar to vueling or may be a little bit worse. Barcelona based with a chance to open new bases Bilbao and sevilla. The big problem is SPANISH COMPULSORY

Maybe it is a very real truly great problem that Spanish is compulsory
but leaving a part practical reasons for that I would find
of very bad taste to fly in a company with headquarters
in Barcelona with a pilot who canīt even say "Hola".
After all Spanish uses more or less the same letters as English
- think about Russian, think about Japanese - and it is
a language spoken in a lot of places. Besides learning
Spanish you will understand better Italian, Portuguese
and even French.
And for those who find this condition so hard I just remind you
that the language of Barcelona (and Majorca, etc) is Catalan and no one
is asking you to learn our language.
But maybe I am wrong. Maybe instead of being Spanish compulsory for
Clickair pilots, what it should be done is that
English should be compulsory for those traveling in Clickair so that
the pilots can speak only one language, in this case the pretty
language of Shakespeare.
With respect to work with Clickair I know that some weeks ago I
saw an ad in www.cae.com (instead of clickair it was mentioned
catair)

i.e. Clickair will not be allowed to sell tickets between Barcelona and Moscow under a certain price that will be stipulated by the Russian government.

just behind the British. Is it that so?
About the corruption of the Russian government I hope that the general
interest of the Russian people prevails ...
I also read some weeks ago that there are more multimilionaires now in Moscow than in New York.
As I have a site of fans of Clickair I would like to know which airport in Moscow maybe
the most probable for a flight between Barcelona and Moscow.
