757 initial climb-out
I'm looking for the assistance of a B757 pilot please.
Captain Sim (flight simulation) have produced a B757. However, there is something which I feel is not correct.
On take off, during the initial climb-out at v2+15, you are within the yellow band speed on the speed tape.
Once flaps are in, even at 190KIAS, the 190 is in the yellow band.
I've seen numerous Just Planes videos and I have never seen this in the 757. Surely the yellow band limit is much lower than 190 after take off with flaps 15?
Could some one PLEASE confirm OR dispute this for me.

Definitely a bug. I wouldn't want to be in the yellow band in the climb out during flap retraction. The flap schedule assures lots of margin above the yellow and red bands during acceleration. I fly the 737, but this applies to every heavy aircraft.

I require hard evidence for the CS dev team.
One other thing I need to hear from a pilot - the yellow band speeds, do they indicate flap maneuvering speeds or stall speeds or what?

I’m not a B757 pilot, but I do fly a similar type made by Boeing.
I suppose it depends what weight you are at and what speed you are using for your V2, have you checked to ensure they are correct?
The top of the yellow band on the speed tape is your minimum manoeuvre speed, so the top of the yellow band is 1.3 Vstall.

Might not be up to date but should be enough for your needs. This is vol. 2, so you can study a bit about the systems. Try to find Vol. 1 and the FCTM.

As JFP says, the top of the yellow band is min manoeuvre speed, so at or above that you have full manoeuvre margin. Once in the yellow band that margin reduces until at the bottom of the band which will also be the top of the red/black is stick shake.

Bit of terminology coming up. So the flap manoeuvring speed is vref+ 40,60,80 for flaps 5,1,0 and gives full capability at those speeds (at least 40deg aob). This is based on ac weight.
Min man speed is a function of angle of attack and ias. It is dynamic so you will see it move during a turn eg. It is only displayed on ac with speed tape so some of my 757s have no speed tape and there is no knowledge of this speed. “During normal conditions, the flap maneuver speed for the current flap detent should always be equal to or faster than the minimum maneuver speed.” This last bit is copy from FCTM.

OP: please bear in mind that the CS 757 series is a very old product. Any bugs may not be resolved as the programmers and developers are focusing on new endeavors.
Unless of course you are referring to CS 757 3?

In my pre-PPL teenage years when I had time on my hands (wife and kids saw to that...) I used to do a bit of simming. Nothing serious but now and again. CS757 was a very poor product IMO. Buggy as hell and very questionable handling. I battled with it for a while before giving up. Wasn't much fun trying to get it to work. Best add-on I ever had was the Dreamfleet 727. Very realistic and never came across any bugs.
