Hi Guys..

Anybody knows where can I get information about A320 cockpit window .. for example what material its made from and how many layers are fitted.. and its limitations ...

Thanks but thats the material production company I looking for Airbus Self Exceplenations and details ... I beleive there are some kind of limitations for cracked windows and so on...

What I know the Airbus Cockpit Window has three layers each layer has its own safety limitation... Where can I find this kind of info .. anybody...

If you are an Airbus pilot you have access to the MEL surely? Also why not ask your engineers, who have access to the AMM?

Those items are no longer in the MMEL (the FAA version at least). The FAA have recently adopted a policy that windshield damage is a structural issue not a systems issue, and so dispatch with damage belongs in the SRM and/or CDL.

The windshield items were removed in rev 21 of the FAA MMEL for these aircraft. See ATA 56, page 269 of the pdf.

Whatever it is made of and whatever the number of layers, it is way better than its nearest rival's equivalent in terms of visibility and rain-removal abilities with or without wipers working.
