Tuning music on the ADF box

Hi.

I know you can pick up RTE Radio 1 in 252 on the ADF box, but it's not that exciting alot of the time. Anyone know any others?

In the days when 252 was a music station I once listened to it on the way into Dakar. Sounded great too, weird things skywaves.

675 - Arrow Classic Rock, Brilliant!
198 - News Radio / Live broadcasting bigger sport matches
891 - Radio 538
1215 - Virgin Radio
648 - BBC World Service

Now if you look at these frequencies, you`ll find that all of them add up to either 9 or 18. For instance 6+7+5 = 18 or 1+2+1+5 = 9 If you`re stuck in a part of the world where you don`t know any frequencies try that little formula and you`ll soon find something to listen to

the divisor by 9 rule does not apply in the US. 660, 710, 560, etc.

Different frequency plans in different parts of the globe, Europe adopted a 9kHz channel spacing for AM broadcast, the US uses a 10kHz spacing. That's why the BBC long wave transmitter moved from 200kHz to 198kHz many years ago.
