767 rest facility

Does anyone know if there are any 767s with a horizontal rest facility? If so where is it located? In the States the feds require a horizontal rest facility for all flights that exceed 12 hours.
Thanks

My lot developed a (lockable but by no means secure) module containing a fully reclining seat, and installed it aft of the business class cabin. A comms system was kludged up to allow comms with the flightdeck.
Not highly satisfactory, for a number of reasons, but it serves its purpose.

yes it will. You may take a hit on how much you can haul but it has the legs to do it.

Back in the nineties I did a couple of Abu Dhabi to Perth services direct at just under 5000 nautical miles we used to restrict the pax load to around 300 all economy though the aircraft was configured for 328 pax.We also had to carry remote holding fuel for Perth around 11 tonnes if I remember.Hopefully that gives some idea of the range capability of the aircraft. My company fits a bunk module at the front of our aircraft for Hajj operations, never used it myself but apparently far from perfect, much better than nothing.WE dropped the AUH-PER and went back to routing via SIN after one season as it was deemed not commercially viable.

I know Air Mauritius has bunks installed in the aft section of their -200ER's. Unfortunately do not know too much about how comfortable they are, etc. Just for your information,my company operates a -300ER and we do JNB-LGW which is just shy of 5000nm. We have a two class configuration(230 pax total). We are field length/Alt limited out of JNB which is 5558ft amsl on a hot summer evening and are unrestricted out of LGW. The flight time is on average 11:30.Hope this sheds some light.

We do ATH-ATL in our -300ers. It is blocked for 11:50 West bound and we need to cruise at about.80 to make it. It is about 5500 miles and we are limited on the freight but I have not seen any blocked seats yet. Maybe this winter.

There is talk about a few new routes that will require a horizontal rest facility this fall. Where they will be to has yet to be mentioned. We have a few -300ers from Gulf Air that I think have a little greater gross weight then ours (407K).

Austrian will begin to install a lower deck crew rest on several 763s this winter. Will be located in the forward cargo hold with access from the forward galley, total of six bunks. Don't know who makes the hardware, but OS is the launch customer.
Longest flight on the 767 was SIN-VIE at about 12 1/2 block hours, does get a little tight on fuel capacity though...

767 rest facility

BA, whose 767s served MIA, LAX and SEA got a company based at Arlington (north of Seattle, next door to the more interesting Glasair factory) to produce a mock up horizontal rest kit for their 767s. The device was to be fixed to the bulkhead aft of the fwd l/h toilet and extended across door 1 left providing a neat curtained off rest area. There were issues with galley chat intruding on one's desire for rest but the folding bunk was a smart and simple bit of kit. In the end I think they simply curtained off a first class seat. p.m. me if you want detail - the files are here somewhere.
