The aircraft's ID on Mode S/ADS-B is its callsign "SC33". The (incorrect) identity "XE668" has been added by whichever flight-tracker the screenshot is taken from (there are so many of them nowadays that I don't recognise which one it is).
Strictly speaking, the identity "XE688" is incorrect, too. The real XE688 was written off more than 60 years ago, and the current aircraft (like many surviving Hunters) is a composite of bits from different aircraft. Most of the airframe is from another Hunter XE704, originally built as a single-seater F.4 and then converted after retirement from the RAF to a two-seat T.72 trainer for sale to the Chilean Air Force, after which it went to Embraer in Brazil.
Todays LHR inbound oddity was a RAF A330 with an Airtanker call sign ( with a minor change something perfectly suited to Johnson's proposed vanity jet referred to elsewhere on PP) heading for east for an LHR downwind. Operating Houston to London , Actually saw this one over me at around 0820.

Royal Ascot 2020 - missing all the rotary's flying this year. The Royal Ascot Heliport . Some years jumped on the push bike and visit , you can get to one small fence, on the edge of heliport to see all, what types, 20 - 30 + in number. You don't get challenged on a push bike , & no traffic

Flybe Dash-8 G-ECOK just bumbled over at 25000 in a NE direction, presume being delivered ex-Southampton to a new operator or storage elsewhere...
Edit: apparently acquired by Chorus Aviation. Currently heading up the North Sea towards Oslo...

Effects of weather on aircraft noise
I heard that, it was loud(er) than any of the many daily FlyBe's that used to fly over. I thought it was a Mil Herc, especially when I checked it and it showed as unknown etc except height/speed. However cross-checking it on two other trackers showed it to be a Dash 8. They must have been gunning it to make that racket as it went over!
Effects of weather on noise ; there is a good concise piece on this here ;

Four Nanchang CJ6 aircraft in formation over Bellevue, Florida two days in a row earlier this week. Also have HD video but PPrune doesn't accept MP4 format.
