I heard that, it was loud(er) than any of the many daily FlyBe's that used to fly over. I thought it was a Mil Herc, especially when I checked it and it showed as unknown etc except height/speed. However cross-checking it on two other trackers showed it to be a Dash 8. They must have been gunning it to make that racket as it went over!
I always learnt planes sound louder in cloud , learnt this in my studies, the meteorology part, especially that thick stuff that's covering the UK today. Noise abatement etc..
